Service: fine; the servers were nice, polite and accommodating. I loved being greeted with 'amigo'. Free burrito -- pork carnitas with pico de gallo, salsa verde, shredded cheese, sour cream, lettuce, guacamole, jalapenos, small pinto beans (no rice or black beans): This was the first time I actually enjoyed Mad Mex. Since 10 years ago I've had their burritos/bowls several times, but was ALWAYS disappointed -- to the point where I told myself to stop going back. It was such a surprise and relief not regretting my visit! With my first bite, my first impression was that the food finally has FLAVOUR*; not the blandness I'd come to know the place by. The pulled pork was juicy and flavourful, not dry and tough like in the past. (It was even a highlight, no longer only just a feature of the burrito.) The level of spiciness was perfect for me (medium), which spread pleasantly along my palate with each bite. It was a well-balanced and somehow refreshing spice too, serving to lift the rest of the burrito's flavours. The tortilla was a pleasure to eat, more than just a plain container of fillings; it was lovely and soft, not enough to get soggy with my predominantly wet ingredients, yet also firm with a good chew. My only criticism is the cheese. I'm not sure if the burrito was meant to be hot (either way I microwaved it when I got home), but the cheese at least should've been, as it was quite jarring to bite into dry, powdery strands. A suggestion for improvement would be at least heating up the meat, beans, and/or any other suitable fillings so the cheese can melt against them, or not using powdered cheese. Overall, the burrito was moist and delicious, all the components complementing one another well as they should have. *Disclaimer: perhaps there was more flavour to go around without the dilution by rice and black beans, and was also helped along by my additions of guacamole and jalapenos. If my memory serves me right, it was mostly the rice and beans that were most noticeably tasteless in the past. I look forward to trying more menu items though, as I'm hopeful after this positive experience. Am keen in particular for the tacos and/or quesadilla!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently placed a bulk order of just under 100 burritos with Mad Mex at Norwest Marketown, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! Despite the size of the order and the number of special requests, every single burrito was perfect and exactly as ordered. The care and precision with which they were made were evident – nothing was slapped together, and each burrito was beautifully crafted and perfectly packaged for transport. The food was absolutely delicious! From the first bite to the last, the flavors were incredible and consistent. The team at Mad Mex Norwest went above and beyond to ensure everything was flawless, and their assistance throughout the process was top-notch. Thank you, Mad Mex Norwest, for an outstanding experience! I highly recommend them for any catering needs or just a fantastic meal.

Mad Mex Norwest is my go-to spot for lunch since it’s so close to my workplace. I absolutely love the food here, and every time I visit, I’m welcomed by the friendly and cheerful staff. The taste is always spot on, and the place is kept really clean, which makes the experience even better. Over time, it’s become such a regular spot for me that even my boss has started joining me occasionally—he also enjoys the vibe and the fresh, casual atmosphere. Our usual picks are the nachos and the naked burritos (since I’m not a big fan of regular burritos, they fill me up way too much 🤣). Overall, this place is a great food chain with consistently good food, a welcoming vibe, and service that makes you want to come back again and again.

Cheers for the chicken grande melt Mad Amex Norwest, pity we ordered a vegetarian one. Upon returning to the store and explaining the mistake, the first girl we spoke to mumbled something about making us a new one, and a second girl appeared (the one who made the original order) and began to make a second melt. As an after thought the second girl offered a very half hearted mumbled apology. At this point I had to leave the shop because I was furious, and left my boyfriend to complete the transaction. Customer service in this store today was appalling, I'm sorry if these girls don't like their jobs (as their attitudes lead me to believe) or if they were just having a bad day, and I actually really hate complaining about stuff like this, because I don't want to sound like a preachy vegetarian and I hate being an inconvenience, but I already know I'm going to continue to feel queasy for the rest of the night, and half-hearted shrugged apologies don't do anything to...

I’ve dined here a few times and the food isn’t too bad, nothing to rave about but it fills you up. However my gripe today with this store is their opening hours, if you shut at 8pm you shut at 8pm, not 7:53pm. Food was still in the counter and anyone thats been to mad mex knows the quick and convenient rate in which the food is prepared, so locking the doors well before closing time is just pure laziness. I know this doesn’t fall on the owner of the store as especially during these times where over 50% of business is lost due to no dining in, so if the owner was present I’m sure this would be a different story. This isn’t the first time this has happened with this store either. I work a late shift finishing at midnight so if im in the area it serves for a good bite to eat but unfortunately i will now resort to other restaurants for dinner as the staff are just lazy, cut their check and walk away, taking away extra money from the person...
