Honestly, I didn’t wanna leave a bad review but I called the restaurant and I gave them my review verbally over the phone. They did not take any criticism and they don’t do anything to try and address the issue. They only mentioned how the shop is still running after 26 years Which is unusual information for me as a first-time customer that walked into try something new and took their suggestions and trusted them on what is best To end up with a dry pasta with barely any sauce And barely any beef, it’s tasteless lacking every possible spice Including salt. I will never support local or try new shops ever again, A McDonald’s chicken nuggets Sounds more appealing to me than what I had today. Don’t let me get Started on the customer service Since the staff were very dry and all they wanted to do is make me buy something and go. They didn’t explain about anything or what it was . And they said on the phone call that the people who leave Google reviews are just cared and hide behind their phone . Look at their way of addressing the issues with the bad reviews and you see what the worst business...

Here's a review for Mamma Barone:

Mamma Barone - A Taste of Italy Done Right

Mamma Barone is a true gem for Italian cuisine lovers. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and an inviting ambiance that feels like a cozy escape to Italy.

The service here is impeccable—attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about making your dining experience memorable. The staff are well-versed in the menu and quick to offer recommendations, which leads me to the star of the evening: the Rigatoni Romana.

This dish is an absolute must-try! Perfectly al dente rigatoni tossed in a creamy, flavorful sauce with just the right balance of richness and tang. It's clear that every ingredient is fresh and prepared with care.

Whether you're a fan of classic Italian fare or exploring it for the first time, Mamma Barone is a spot you'll want to return to again and again. Highly recommend it for both casual dinners and special...

RUDE RUDE RUDE OWNER!!!! 4 years ago i rated this place 5 star however after our experience last Saturday night i would not ever! ever recommend nor come to this place. Me and my partner are from mortdale so we are local and few visits here we were disappointed because the food that we normally ordered were not the same but we didnt tell anyone or edit my review. So Saturday night we had another go and we were happy and enjoyed our meal so my partner told the owner that we had a really good meal tonight and it was like before and told him because few visit was not the same it wasnt good, so he complimented him for his food that night. But he couldn't take the criticism and told my partner that he has never had a problem before in a rude way. Now that you are not byo and You! owner coudnt take criticism should change how you treat your customer. We wont...

Food: we ordered three pizzas and the pasta trio. The food was hot, delicious, well presented and came reasonably quickly. Service: bad attitude from start to finish. From the time I rang to book a table and was told I was lucky to get anything (despite not many bookings on observation) the same man who also served us had a bad attitude. He seemed annoyed, reluctant to take our order, and didn't respond when the women are the table made requests. However a marked change in attitude and demeanor was noted when the men at our table made requests. This would put me off coming again. Atmosphere: small venue, but vibrant and not too noisy. Clean and well laid out seating. Comfortable place to dine in.

Years ago I went down to this small Italian resto and rated it 10/10. Went back recently and they're still killin' it! I tried a few of their pizzas in the past and this time the pepperoni pizza, and even as someone who is usually impartial to pizzas, I enjoyed all of them - thin crispy crust, rich flavour, and generous toppings. Though my favourite food here is the carbonara pasta because they make it with REAL carbonara, not the crappy white cream sauce, and it was very rich in flavour - you can definitely taste the eggs and the guanciale in the sauce. Still undefeated as my top Italian restaurant in Sydney, and definitely should go back more often.

We enjoyed the pizza at Mamma Barone for our Friday night dinner. We are new to the area, and I'm very pleased to have a solid Italian place so close by. Despite being there quite early, the food was timely and delicious. It felt like an authentic little Italian restaurant. The red wine also went down a treat. I really liked that they also gave my young son's crayons to draw on the paper covering the tables. That was helpful in letting us enjoy our meal futher! Can't wait to try other things from the menu.
