Mamma Della Pizza — Restaurant in Sydney

Update. It seems the Italian pizzerias even wood fired pizzas have fallen off in the area of Padstow-Revesby. We tried here again after 2yrs and this time we called and 20mins pick up was ready. Easy to order and great value $42 for 2 large pizzas. We ordered 4 Seasons and Super Supreme. The toppings generous and the crust is okay but overcooked. Where we found it was bad, real bad, was the topping. Yes, there's a lot but there were slimy old toppings there. Like when food is about to go off. Not sure what it was because they just dumped the toppings to hide/mask it or they didn't know. So we didn't eat much and threw it away. I just hope I don't get sick from it and the business looks into their food expiry/use by date and not just use it up and dump it on a pizza, thinking customers won't notice. We did and it tasted off and slimy. Such a disappointment bcos I was really wanting them to be good pizzas :(( 2 yrs ago. I gave this review: Terrible experience. Ok. Have you ever had to wait over 2 hours for food? Imagine this, you are so hungry so you order pizza on menulog at 6.00pm. at 6.15 menulog says your pizza will arrive 7.37. You are so hungry that stomach is eating itself but no pizza. You wait, slowly you lose your appetite and pizza arrives at 8.15...you just feel disgusted. That's how it is if you order here. Regardless of taste, the pizza just taste...

The more pizzas I get from Mama Della, the more the love story continues with this place! I love this joint and the owners. Exceptional service and product that could only be expected from a hardworking family run business!!!! Just had the Calzone tonight and couldn’t resist in putting in a review. After so many years of constantly eating their Supreme, Mexicana, Cheese, Pepperoni pizzas (don’t forget to add olives 😀) I just had to try something a little different. I’ve always wanted to as well. So a Calzone it was. The owner told me it would be best I have it with Ham,, Pepperoni, Mushroom, and onion. Also with a hint of garlic and chili!! Result was WOW!! Flavour bomb!! I ate it that fast I forgot to take photos!! Highly recommend Mama Della as they are quite simply the best in the area and surrounds, by far. I urge more of the locals to support in these tough times!! I may have moved away from the area, but nothing has stopped me from coming back for their exceptional pizza!! Thanks guys and...

First time to mumma della based on reviews I thought I’d try it out. Got my usual favorite ham and pineapple pizza and was sadly so disappointed. I got ham on top of ham on top of ham on top of ham and when you think there couldnt possibly be any more ham, there certainly was with over cooked cheese on top. I’m thinking perhaps they were off their game tonight. I threw it out and made a sandwich instead. The excessive heavy hand of ham was seriously sickening and when I tried to pick some of it off all that cheese was baked hard into the ham, i couldn’t salvage it. Not sure I could stomach trying it again ☹️

Edit: hate giving bad reviews but I have to be honest. We gave this place another shot recently and the Pizza was much better second time round after politely asking the cook to go light with the ham. I have upgraded this to a 3 star rating as there was improvement. I will most likely try...
