Went there a few days ago for the first time .. service was really good .. our table was attended to right away for drink orders.. waiter was so patient and maintained his great service .. although he had to come a few times to take our orders as it was a big group .. he was Interactive making genuine suggestions despite of prices ..great menu as they have quite a good selection of meats/seafood vegetarian options available .. I chose the salmon .. which was absolutely delicious .. generous serve (check the photo).. the only suggestion I would make to the restaurant is to mention if there are any potatoes served with the dish, as many restaurants do not include potatoes as part of the "seasonal vegetables" that comes with the dish, which then can be ordered as a side if it's not stated otherwise in the description.. and I was a little confused so I ordered a side of carbs which realized was not needed when I got my dish.. although I did not try the rest of the different selections of dishes that were ordered by the group ..based on the positive feedback, comments and empty plates left .. that they loved and enjoyed every bit of it .. It won't be my last visit .. looking forward to return to try other dishes .. just hope you guys maintain the consistency and quality of food....
Read moreMy boyfriend and I went to this restaurant as a backup after finding out the place we wanted to go was closed on Anzac Day. We were not impressed with the food.
The service was good and we were seated quickly. The food came out fast, which you could tell from the quality of the food. I ordered the margarita pizza and the crust was soggy and overloaded with cheese, which would have been fine if the base had been cooked through and could hold the immense mass of mozzarella that had been dumped on top of it.
My boyfriend ordered the cannaloni, but it took him a minute to find it because it was literally drowning in nepolitana sauce. After trying the sauce and finding it bland and overpoweringly tomato-ey, he opted to remove the cannaloni from its watery grave. He then realised why they had laden it with so much sauce; the pasta on its own looked and tasted like a frozen meal from Coles. The filling was salty mush with a strange mouth feel akin to wet teabags.
It was sad to see that this restaurant had so much potential, with a great location, equipment and seating for a pleasant dining experience, but just completely failed to deliver on these promises. We will not be...
Read moreThis italian restaurant advertises that, they serve authentic cuisine. So I took a seat and after looked at their menu I ordered a Mediterranean Salad and a Pizza Giardino. The salad contained e.g. kalamata olives and feta cheese, which in my opinion is greek, not italian, maybe they call this authentic, but this was not authentic italian cuisine. Nevertheless the taste was really good. I just had to ask for condiments, which where not provided spontaneously. Furthermore they advertise their restaurant as „Maranello’s Woodfired Pizza Restaurant“, so I thought I would get served a real wood-fired italian pizza. I‘ve choosen a pizza from their lunch special, but I didn’t understand the price structure, so I asked the waiter for the difference from the regular menu and he answered, that it is concerning the price. But I still couldn’t understand this argument, as the pizza and it’s size from the lunch special was not offered on the regular menu. The pizza was ok in taste only, but to be honest it had not much to do with a real italian wood fired pizza. The pizza crust tasted dry and I didn’t like the consistency too much. If I would return, I would order a salad only,...
