I think the restaurant is good for Merrylands standards. I wanted to really love this place, but it fell short for me when I compare it to other restaurants in western sydney. I ordered the reginette crab based on recommendations that I've seen. I would not order this again. The pasta was over cooked and I feel that there wasn't enough crab to justify the price point. Additionally, I found the dish to be very heavy on the oil (a bit excessively so even for an "aglio e olio" dish) and not adequately salted. That being said, the pasta portion itself was quite generous.
Also, I ordered an aperol spritz and it took more than 15 minutes to arrive to my table on a Thursday night at 1930. The restaurant wasn't overly busy at the time, so I'm sure the establishment is working out some teasing problems. My spritz was also really flat. This is likely do to the bar tap needing to be regassed.
I think this restaurant has amazing potential with it's location and decor, but it might just need a few more weeks to tease out some of the kinks. They were very happy to accommodate food allergies for a member in my party though, which was much...

The savory sauce has totally seeped into the肉丝 (should be meat fibers, but let's keep it colloquial as '肉丝' here). This sheep must've done yoga every day when it was alive, 'cause the meat is so tender!
I think the garlic - shrimp dish should be renamed 'Mediterranean Trap'. The crispy and springy shrimps are coated in garlicky oil, and paired with the toasted flatbread. It's a carb lover's dream! That flatbread is so freaking fragrant!
The wagyu steak sandwich has thick - cut steaks that burst with juice, and the bread is toasted to perfection. The baked potatoes are so soft inside, like little clouds! Finally, I found potatoes that don't choke me, and they even have a bit of natural sweetness. This dish may look ordinary, but it really blew me away.
The place has a super - fancy and atmospheric vibe. The waiters are really nice and will recommend the right portion sizes (take their advice! We were too greedy and ended up taking some home). It's definitely worth adding to the 'Anniversary...

Let me give you a hot tip. This is what you order!
An Old Fashioned to start the dinner of on the right note. It was superb.
Entree, HAS to be the Eggplant Stracciatella. This is, bar none, my favourite dish I have EVER eaten at any restaurant. And I'm a die hard carnivore. Even my breakfast has to have meat in it!
Your main shall be the Riverine Sirloin. And don't be a wuss and make sure you order it rare! Do yourself the favour and have the loaded fries. The one with cheese and truffle.
Did someone say dessert? The Three Milk Cake. That is all! This is where the mic drop emoji should be......
Don't worry about the calories. You're out to enjoy yourself...so just do it!
Oh....and watch out for the waiter in the tracky daks. That guy is as suss AF! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
As a P.S, I need to mention that a new dish has been sen-bloody-sational. Try the Coral...
