In Summary: Best to use the drive through here when you're not in a rush. Food average, service below average, overall the experience is only for when I crave.
Detailed Review: As with most people there's usually a craving for fresh, tasty, quick and cheap eating food. I have to say that McDonalds can usually do that on a large scale 50% of the time. This review is based on multiple experiences that I've had at the North Kellyville McDonalds. We generally order a family box that gives us the opportunity to get value for money but also to get a variety of items. There have been times where we have purchased a number of breakfast items but not too frequently..A little too expensive for our liking especially when a bacon and egg muffin costs $4.35 for a piece of bacon the size of a a rice craker, a cooked egg with eggshells and a muffin crumbling in your hands...
So to review: Service : Drive thru is very slow with 80% of the time we are in the waiting bay waiting for an average of 5-10mins. Drinks and dessert served quickly but thats all you get at the window. The rest is handed at the waiting bay.
Food: Big Macs: are usually a mess when you open the box Quarter Pounder: Great when you're not waiting Cheese Burger: Not bad most of the time, otherwise the sauce sits outside instead if inside McChicken: Lettuce has been brown 90% of the time. The chicken is ok McSpicy Chicken: Chicken in nice, lettuce not so much Fries: When you get it at the window, the fries are soggy 50% of the time Soft serves: They're good when you don't have to wait however when you do, they serve it at the window but is melted by the time you get the rest of your food. Drinks: Are good.
The family boxes are good when done right and done quickly but unfortunately its the time it takes till you get the food that everything else falls downhill.
But in saying that, its generally a crave so therefore most of the time we wait anyway regardless hence the extra star for satisfying the crave...not so much the...
Read moreUpdate 16 September 2023: visited again to see if things had changed any. 3 out of 5 meals ordered were wrong. Not just little things, but many dollars of food worth. I can't see how it is that hard to get orders right most of the time. I can understand getting things wrong now and then, but every single time, for years now.
Original review: Always get the orders wrong. Not just a pickle on a cheeseburger when we asked not to have any, but missing drinks, wrong drinks, missing chips, missing burgers, wrong burgers, wrong drinks. Also quality of burgers is not consistent with McDonald's quality.
We have been repeatedly given false information during ordering. I reached out to McDonald's head office to clarify if we can upsize happy meal drinks and were told that we definitely can, but each visit, even after they were supposedly told by head office, they continued to refuse to upgrade drinks on happy meals.
We just don't bother going to this drive-thru at all any more. The rouse Hill McDonald's also sometimes gets it wrong, but not as much.. so generally, we will go to Hungry Jack's instead because they have never got it...
Read moreOrder a coffee frape with no cream for my Mrs through drive through. As soon as I got home she said it was a chocolate frape. I went back to them to replace it and they refused to replace it saying that I ordered a chocolate frape. Obviously very frustratingly I paid for a replacement and they gave me one with cream so I refused to take it and they threw it in the bin and made another one with no cream. So the net result for their business is that they threw one in the bin anyway but got an angry customer as a bonus as opposed to just replacing it from the get go. All of this for $5.95 that their cost or out is probably less than $1.00. Poor service. To add to it the girl in the second window was saying “oh, he paid for another one” in a surprised manner while the window was closed thinking that I can’t hear her. So obviously I shouldn’t have paid in the first place. I’m usually one that lets things go but that was a very frustrating interaction for first thing in the morning. It is my fault for giving business to a place that sells junk and run by teenagers who do not know what costumer service is....
