Worst cafe ever.
Rude service, mucked up our coffees, waited one hour for a yogurt bowl. Bland tasteless food. Sent things back twice. Didn’t finish. Very expensive.
Ordered at the counter. Very young waitress didn’t understand what an iced long black with milk was and argued with us that it was an iced latte. After telling her what an iced long black with milk was she just nodded her head and pointed to the eftpos machine. As in tap your card and go away. Not friendly at all.
Coffees came. Ordered two iced long blacks with milk. We received one iced latte and one iced long black without milk. I was very kind and working in hospitality this very young waitress obviously hadn’t had any experience. I go to the counter to the man making coffees and tell him we didn’t order these and that there was a confusion. He then looked at the docket and no this was your order and was insisted that we drink them. I said no and he was very mad to fix the coffees.
After we got our new coffees with rude service we waited for 50 mins and no food arrived. I asked a waitress where our food was and she said it was coming and asked if we wanted a free drink to wait and said sorry. I got the açai smoothie and it arrived on the table room temperature and runny. I said I am so sorry and I don’t mean to be fussy but this smoothie is warm and the waitress was like omg yes I’m sorry I’ll make you another. The next one came out and I thought it was a joke. The warm liquid was now very diluted and thinner consistency than water. It had floating bits of ice on top. It was entirely un drinkable and I left it untouched. As clearly returning it doesn’t work. Anyone who drinks açai knows that this one would've been disgusting to drink.
Scared for the food to come out it finally did after one hour of waiting. Nothing special at all. Not worth it. Wouldn’t go again. Every cafe I’ve been to has tastier food, friendly service and not been an absolute joke.
They should try hiring an arrayed team of people. I understand it’s great to hire young people for their first jobs but balance it out with other staff that actually know the bare minimum of service.
Terrible this cafe is a joke.
I am not one to leave google reviews but hopefully the owner reading this gets a big wake up call. Fix your team so you have people who can support the youngsters. And...
Read moreI’m normally easy to please, however, not this time. I ordered the battered flathead fillets, chips and salad. The fish was basically a few unrecognisable flakes, (very much doubt there was any flathead fillet there) buried in a mass of oily batter. This was undoubtedly the worst ‘fish’ I have ever been served and it was inedible! The accompaniments weren’t much better. My husband had a burger which did not inspire him but was fair. On a good note, the coffee was good and the berry smoothie quite tasty. To add insult to injury, we were overcharged. We suspected this was a Sunday surcharge although there was no mention of it on the menu, (although a public holiday surcharge was...
Read moreDuring an extended stay nearby, Meet Me at Clovelly became my go-to café, and I soon realized that I was just one of its many daily customers. It’s not hard to see why the café inspires such loyalty: The specialty coffees are uniformly excellent and well-prepared, the food is consistently tasty and well-presented, and the vibe is always friendly and welcoming. The owner and his staff are genuinely helpful and have created a convivial environment that attracts people of all ages and from all walks of life. It was an unexpected pleasure to find this simple and unique café and spend time there, and I shall always remember it as one of my favorite places in Sydney. Thanks for the...
