Pizzavelly Italian Kitchen — Restaurant in Sydney

Pizzavelly is one of the most authentic Italian experiences you will ever have in Sydney, Frank and Tiline are the most warm welcoming restaurateurs I have ever come across! From the first time I ordered a take away lasagne when I first moved into my apartment I was made to feel apart of the family.

Over the years I have tried most pizzas on the menu in the restaurant and take away, my personal classic favorite is called "Greed is Good." A combination of the finest meats with perfectly melted cheese, on the freshest dough. If you haven't been to see Frank at Pizzavelly, why not?

It's not all about the pizzas though, my family often enjoy the beautifully prepared antipasti and insalatas with the biggest, freshest tomatoes you will ever see! Nonna's Pasta Dishes go down a treat too, making you feel like you are at home enjoying dinner among family, I highly recommend the "Lasagne Pizzavelly."

Authentic pizza from local Italian family in clovelly.been going there for 4yrs, diavola is their best pizza whilst the veggie med pizza also has house made pesto and quality marinated artichokes eggplant and olives. The pasata sauce they make is heavenly.....ie red sauce on most bases:). The pastas are interesting as I initially felt they were overpriced BUT for 23-28 Stars you can feed 2 people as an entree. Stand out is the prawn and zucchini flower cream pasta. rich, delicate but yet totally indulgent. Good to share. They also have a decent bottle of Barolo on the list for in 60 or 70. Second visit. Pasta was great again. Pizza was terrible. Maybe just not our style but thought it was soggy a doughy. Will stick with the pasta from now on.

If I had written this review in the restaurant it would have been 5 stars. The food was fab. However, I took a takeaway profiterole with me that really wasnt great and not at all as good as the food I ate in the restaurant.

Overall, great place and will be back.

..... Back here for taleaway again tonight and reconfirmed that 3 stars. It's not terrible food but compared to the other pizza places (Maybe Frank) or Pasta Placea (Mama & Papa's) that are in the neighbourhood ... this place is far below...
