Moss Bros Dessert & Brunch Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

I ordered a latte banana bread biscuit and asked if they do batch brew or cold brew (non of either) really? Venue like this in 2024 doesn’t do batch or cold brew? Anyway I settled for a weak long black instead. Biscuit came first after 10 minutes then the banana bread after 5 minutes then the latte and long black The biscuit was stale and soggy I returned it and asked if I could have something else perhaps a muffin I was told I had to pay extra, no problem. I was asked if I wanted the muffin heated up I asked if it was fresh and a gentleman rudely replied ‘today is Sunday we don’t get deliveries on Sundays’ NO apology nothing. These people need to get a reality check. Serving stale biscuits does not win you business and hello, neither does attitude. Little would they know if I was a food critic or that I’ve been in the industry for more than 20 years. Won’t be going back and certainly would not recommend this place to anyone. Plenty of coffee shops around that go way beyond making your experience a memorable one that want and appreciate your business and want you back time...

I recently went here about 2 weeks ago. When I first walked in it smelt very unpleasant, there were dirty dishes left on the table, crumbs left and just altogether a very dirty work place. When I first walked in I was stared at by one of the workers, I grabbed my own menu and sat down at a dirty table. I called over a waitress to clean it and it was still very unclean. There were coffee stains still on the table and mushed food. I got up to go order and it was just a very awkward environment. They gave me my number and told me to sit down. It took me a while to get my coffee and when I did it tasted a bit off, i let this go though. It then took me around 30-45 minutes to receive the food for me and my daughter. The chicken was not cooked properly, with it being very very chewy and unlikeable. My daughters food was quite cold. We didn't finish and just left to eat fast food as this was one of the worst experiences, considering its quite expensive price for the quality.

I would not like to return to this place anytime in the future and not recommend...

The food and coffee are nice, but the customer service and management are just too bad! I ordered breakfast and coffee to dine in and I was asked if I want the coffee in a take away cup and I said NO all to have here. I got the coffee in a take away cup!! When I told the waitress that I wanted it in a mug, she went back and the barista just poured my same coffee in a mug!! I told the waitress that’s not good at all and I expect a new made barista coffee which I paid $4.30 for, she didn’t like what I said nor did she apologised, but she went back and brought a new coffee. I requested the same waitress to let me speak with the manager, she said you can go to speak with the manager via the kitchen window!! I didn’t like that and I told her I shouldn’t go to speak with the manager while she is in the kitchen, “you go and let the manager know that an unhappy customer wants to speak with you”. She didn’t like what I said and went moaning and told the manager! Stayed on my table for another 20 minutes and no manager...
