North Steyne Emporio — Restaurant in Sydney

I'll start by saying the food we received wasn't bad - the chips were a bit small for $6 but maybe that's a Manly thing. What leads me to give a 1 star is bad service we received. Did not appreciate the unethical pricing practice of offering options during an order and not being upfront with price. When I questioned the total price after doing the sum in my head the waitress firstly thought it was on account of the burger combo and then said tomato sauce was $1, after never bringing it up, and having already taken my money.

I must say I was very disappointed. Me and my friend we went there expecting nice experience as from the outside it looks fabulous, however that didn’t happen. There were many empty tables and many of them were dirty. For half an hour we were sitting there we have never seen any staff member cleaning any table. We were also very disappointed from the food. For $18 1 slice of toast bread, little bit of avocado spread over and two tiny pieces of goat cheese instead of feta on the menu. We were still hungry and had to go somewhere else. Just have a breakfast for the first recommended by my fds says they have good breakfast. Ordered a egg benedict with ham It comes out the toast is hard like a rock can't even cut it though Eggs was well done and I ordered with ham and I pretty sure it was bacon.
