We were so excited to see a cafe open at Queensie but alas it fails to excite, unless of course you like the pretentious atmosphere that this place exudes. Our first experience last week was ordering simple milkshakes that were mediocre at best and sadly with warm milk. We thought we would give them a second chance as the cafe is new and is bound to have teething problems. How wrong we were! The menu looked nice, simple and inviting but that is where it ended the burgers were uninspiring and tasteless the salad in the burger was wilted and tomato was old and bland. Price point was on the upper and I mean upper end $17 + $5 for a side of fries so all up $21 for a plain and boring burger. On a positive note the coffee I had was nice and the hot chocolate my daughter had was nice as well, unfortunately that was it so we left rather dissatisfied and the wallet $72 lighter and sadly wonβt be lured back for a...
Β Β Β Read moreEverything pretty good. Went down for happy hour at 4.30pm. Ordered a beer each with a meal off the happy hour menus. All good. Happy hour finished at 6pm. Went up to order another beer at 5.47pm and refused any further happy hour beers unless we ordered a meal from the normal menu. The french manager insisted that a meal be purchased before any further service. The restaurant had us three at one table and a couple at one other table. The restaurant was empty! We were happy to stay longer and probably order a meal but the attitude of the manager had us go elsewhere. If a restaurant can't deliver on what they advertise it is simple to go elsewhere in Manly. The French manager is failing the restaurant owner and will undermine the owners intent of...

They seem to be pushing the limits on price on pretty standard offerings which makes you feel just slightly ripped off. They aslo don't make you feel welcome when you pay top dollar for a takeaway by making you order from a window around the corner. On top of this it creates a crowd of people that blocks the footpath. Makes it difficult to get past especially with kids and a pram. I would be surprised if they have council permission to be using the window like that. Time will tell. Perhaps they could pay to upgrade and widen the footpath. That might be a win win outcome...
