While last nights dinner began with the news of them not having our booking for my 21st birthday on file, despite talking on the phone to the woman who was working at the front, the food and atmosphere made up for this 10 minutes of frustration. Outside was quite tight due to them having to fit 12 people in that they weren’t anticipating due to the above circumstances, and there was lots of heating devices in the middle of the walkways at points.
Although I have opened with the negative aspects, upon ordering dinner (from the very welcomed incredibly large amount of menu options) with Maria, I was able to soak in the company and the service. The drinks were absolutely fantastic, and I’d highly recommend their margarita cocktail.
Dinner, keeping in mind how absolutely packed it was, came incredibly quickly, and for the price paid the portion size was perfect.
Overall the food was phenomenal and enjoyed by all, but what was the star on top was at the end, Maria came and told us that on top of our first round of drinks being free, they would give us a free round of ’coffee limoncello’s, which tasted like mini espresso martini’s, 11 of these for free, on top of 11 free drinks, purely to make up for the issue with booking the venue.
We were treated above and beyond, and was already incredibly impressed by the staff and the food, but this act of kindness was greatly loved.
On top of this, upon Maria discovering from my very enthusiastic mother that it was my 21st, she organised a candle and sparkler on the top of a free incredibly generous sized slice of tiramisu.
If looking for a fantastic Italian restaurant where you are consistently appreciated and has absolutely wonderful food, I couldn’t recommend Pane...
Read moreThe food was nice. Generous portions. The spaghetti marinara was average, quite salty. Hubby had steak and this was cooked beautifully. Arancini balls were also quite salty. There was confusion with some of the orders for our table and a couple of tables near where we were sat, although I presume this is due to being a brand new restaurant & teething problems.
I was given a white wine although ordered red, i mentioned this to the waitress although the white wine was left on the table for a while before being taken to the correct table. Hubby ordered a beer and a different drink was brought over, again this was sat on our table for quite a while before being taken to the correct table
Also we were asked to order desserts straight after we had eaten entrees and when we asked if we could wait until we had our mains to decide if we wanted dessert the waitress was rather pushy so we then felt obliged to order a dessert
The restaurant was very loud so it was hard to chat but again it was super busy with dine in customers and people waiting for take away
I wouldn’t recommend for a date night as we couldn’t hear each other talk so probably more...
Read moreASTOUNDED Words cannot describe how dissapointed and angry my family and I are. Booked for a table of 8 tonight - all was good, food as always was divine. Unbeknown to me at the time, my brother in law had given our waiter $200 cash when he entered to put towards the meal. When I went to the counter to pay at the end they charged us the FULL amount. As I was unaware my brother in law had part paid I paid the whole bill ($449). It was only when I returned to the table my brother in law mentioned the cash and asked if they had taken it off the bill. You can only imagine his and my surprise when he realised they hadn't. When we queried it they came back all sheepishly saying they had put the money under the till and had "forgotten" about it. Don't know about you but if someone hands over money to contribute to a bill - I would assume they would automatically allocate it to the table - not hide it under the till and plead ignorance when questioned in it. Looks like they were trying to secure a massive tip to me but I could be wrong?? Very dissapointing considering the food was amazing. Definitely will NOT...
