Saw the reviews and ratings and decided to visit this place. Not sure if it was the public holiday or near the closing time that made the foods not up to the mark. Presentation was good but the taste. We had Steak Sandwiches(forgot to take pics of this), Grille Halloumi & Egg Brioche and Shakshouka. Among these the halloumi one was good. Steak sandwiches were dry from the inside. And for the Shakshouka, I’d say, they need to improve and improvise this item. Instead of so many veggies, they could just use the Sujuk, Fetta and Egg like the other places. It was sour and the taste was not like the real shakshouka. The smell and strong taste of Eggplant and Onion compromised the taste of the tomato base. It would be way better if they could just leave 2 options as Veggie and Sujuk so that people could choose one. Additional sujuk to asd on will cost you $7.5 which is insane! I requested to exclude the veggies and replace them with Sujuk but they advised they couldn’t do it. Being an ex-cook I knew that it was not a rocket science to replace the veggies with sujuk. They just didn’t want to do it. Unsatisfactory. Apart from that, other services were good, atmosphere was also great. Just felt unfinished having the raw taste of veggie shakshouka for the first...
Read moreI’ve tried this cafe quite a few times and to be honest, I don’t see the hype. With my recent visit, the service was extremely slow especially considering it was a really quiet morning, only a few other customers were in there.
Ordered two hot beverages and it took so long to receive it, it was very weak as well which was super underwhelming considering the time it took to make. The food was okay, but being a bit overpriced definitely wasn’t worth it. When my order came out it was really hard to cut with a knife, it also took a long time to receive it considering there was a few chefs in the kitchen and all I ordered was a smashed avo on toast.
The only good I can take away from my experiences there, is that the owners and employees are super nice and very accommodating, the environment is always chill but the food and drinks are...
Read moreCute little boutique cafe across the road from the station (the less busy side).
Interior design was nice, colours very nicely matched. On the counter was an array of baked goods from savoury to sweet. One note which was concerning that none of the food was NOT covered which was disappointing, no check in was also mandated.
Nevertheless, the presentation of food was very enticing. Picked up two coffees (which were a massive let down), couple of Wagyu beef sausage rolls (which were nice but a little dry), and a beautifully presented Panna Cotta (which was a little on the runny side).
Overall was a good experience, do recommend this place for a more higher end take and go type of cafe. Be mindful they do charge $1 for a small semi filled tub of sauce lol.
No dine in from what I recall but it may change in the...
