Pizza Box in Carlton is one of those local gems that makes you appreciate the comfort and joy of a good pizza done right. I recently visited and ordered two pizzas – the Vegetarian and the Meat Lovers – and both were absolutely delicious in their own unique ways.
The Vegetarian pizza was a standout, loaded with generous toppings that tasted fresh and full of flavor. The combination of mushrooms, capsicum, olives, and onions was perfectly balanced, and the base had just the right amount of crispness without being too heavy. It didn’t feel oily or overwhelming, which made it really enjoyable from the first bite to the last.
On the other hand, the Meat Lovers was indulgent and hearty, exactly what you want when you’re craving something filling. The mix of pepperoni, ham, bacon, and sausage was layered nicely, and every bite delivered that smoky, savory punch. The cheese was melted beautifully over the toppings, holding everything together without overpowering the flavors.
Beyond the food, what made the experience even better was the service. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, which added a personal touch to the visit. They were attentive without being intrusive and created an atmosphere that felt relaxed and inviting.
The overall vibe of Pizza Box is casual and comfortable, making it perfect whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a meal with friends and family. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, and you can tell they put care into what they serve.
If you’re in Carlton and craving pizza, Pizza Box is a spot worth visiting. With tasty options for both vegetarians and meat lovers, along with excellent service, it’s a place I’ll definitely be...
Read moreThis place annoys me. The quality of the food is exceptional. However the older lady uses slight of hand to put your item in a paper bag using her bare hands thinking she is shielded by the counter front full of food. This is very poor hygiene and a bit sneaky. Then when you ask for it to be heated she put it into an open oven for 30 seconds which she knows full well will make the outside hot but leave the contents inside ice cold. Why do this? Like you know it’s going to be a really unsatisfying experience for the customer to eat that. You also know after 30+ years of cooking that the inside filling of the product will remain cold if you only heat the item for 30 seconds. She obviously...
Read moreVery pricey, used it be a great Lebanese bakery. I knew the owner she was so lovely and kind, now she is working on and off, since this, her husband started running the business and it has completely change to the worse. He is not respectful towards his customers and workers. And he is always charging an extra couple bucks even when I just bought the same thing for a different price. Last time I asked for a zatar wrap with veggies, he charged me $7 ($5 extra for 3 slices of tomato and chopped onions nothing else) + 50c to pay by a card. My opinion is if he keeps running the business it will have a...
