Pasticceria Caruso — Restaurant in Sydney

Honestly sad to be even writing this. This was my all time favourite cake shop. On 2 different occasions lately the custard has been absolutely disgusting !! The cannoli use to be a vibrant yellow with a very strong vanilla tasting custard and it was amazing. I ordered cannoli about a week ago and it tasted almost chemical like, something just wasn't right. I left one for my partner and didn't mention anything about it and she said she felt sick after it and only then I mentioned it tasted weird.

Today I purchased 2 custard donuts to give it another shot and I've never felt so sick. That same awful taste lingered behind and after tasting the custard on its own, again it was AWFUL!

I understand things are hard and I don't know if this is a factor of this store expanding out and not coping so cutting down the costs but I won't be back. Truly heartbreaking! This place was hands down a place I would rave on about and tell people to come try -...

I've tried cannoli from all over Sydney but in my opinion none of them come close to these. What separates these with other places is they actually pipe them when you order them compared to most places which have them sitting in a refrigerated display all day.

The result is the shells retain their crunchiness and the fillings are as fresh as you can get. The ricotta is definitely the pick of the three. They're reasonably well priced and there's plenty of other sweet treats on offer as well and the coffee is pretty good but the cannoli are the hero here.

I found the customer service to be quite friendly and the staff are helpful.

The only negatives are when I have popped in later in the afternoon they have sold out of cannoli, so the earlier the better. And the shopping centre car park can be a bit of a nightmare to get in and out of.

Very disappointed, I ordered an Engagement cake for my daughter it was the worse cake iv ever seen we to embarrassed to post any photos of it that night, it was a late pick up when it was bought home it was to late to do anything, I went to complain when I next went to Stocklands & they said they would look into what happened well no-one ever got back to me not even an apology thats was all I wanted I didn't expect anything else.The cake had dark stains on what was suppose to be white cake which looked a dirty white, the writing wasn't even straight, there was holes on the outside instead of being of being smooth and that night everyone said hope it taste better than it looks well it was a mud cake it was moist in the middle and dry all around the outside like it was made days before clients said yeh go there there good well I wouldn't recommend...
