San Churro Wetherill — Restaurant in Sydney

We recently purchased the 18-pack of churros from San Churros Wetherill Park and were very disappointed with the quality and service. The churros were around half the normal size, which made the value for money extremely poor. On top of that, the six sauces provided came in very small plastic cups, much smaller than what is advertised.

The very next day, we visited another San Churros location, where we were informed that the churros are meant to be the same standard length regardless of which store you visit. At that location, the churros were full-sized, the sauces came in proper large cups as advertised, and the overall experience was far better.

In addition to the food issues, the Wetherill Park store itself was in very poor condition. There were cups and food left everywhere, rags on the floor, and spills on the seats that had not been cleaned. The environment felt dirty and uninviting, which only added to the disappointment.

Overall, San Churros Wetherill Park does not provide customers with what they are paying for, either in food quality or cleanliness. Other San Churros locations deliver a much better experience and stay true to the advertised standard, but unfortunately, this one fell far below expectations.

The photos show the clear difference in quality between stores. At another San Churros location, the churros were the correct size and presented exactly as advertised: long, bronze churros served with sauces in proper larger cups. In comparison, San Churros Wetherill Park provided churros that were about half that size, with sauces in tiny plastic cups, despite us ordering the exact same item. This is a premium dessert bar with an emphasis on churros, chocolate and ice cream. They also have vegan options. They also do coffee and have an impressive selection of giant cakes.

Access is good with wide doors, flat surfaces and plenty of wide space inside. There's plenty of parking nearby and while there are no public restrooms, it is located in a fully equipped shopping centre.

The shop is clean and spacious and the staff were very friendly though wait times seemed painfully long.

Food presentation was excellent and the items delivered to our table looked like the ones advertised.

We had two churro basket desserts and a strawberries and cream milkshake. It cost us $40 AUD. The ice cream and chocolate were great tasting but the churros tasted like the oil needs to be changed (hint hint guys).

The milkshake which was advertised as using "fresh" strawberries and cream was clearly using frozen fruit and far too much ice. There's clearly room for improvement.

Overall this experience was on par with most premium chocolate places, most of which are a little too expensive for what they deliver. This was quite expensive too but with a few simple fixes, (response time, oil and the milkshake) this place has the potential to be so...

This occured on Sunday 8th of January 2017. I must admit the scam of pricing and terrible service is herenadously appalling. I asked for a original funnel cake for $18.96 and a Churros for two for $19.95. Yet when I received my two orders I had received the cake without the banana, strawberry and chocolate siders. i asked the employees to provide me my siders yet apparently I never paid for them.

After investigating the receipt I had paid for the original funnel cake $10.95 and churros for two was charged $14.95. For three siders with my funnel cake with banana, strawberry and chocolate will cost me additional $8.00 and for the same siders in size and pieces will cost me $5.00. This point I made isn't about this scamming of people in cost yet it's when I ordered what's on the menu I expected to pay the full price with the lovely siders.
