Perilla — Restaurant in Sydney

Please make sure dont order any breakfest here. I have never ever seen a store with this low working efficiency in the morning. I have told the staff i am in a hurry and the staff who was making it still cut her cucumber (which is even not part of the food I order) as it would make you to wait at least an hour. Very disappointed shopping experience and ruin my morning in the way i missed my train as well. Please reconsider whether your staff is qualified for customer service and whether your store is qualified as a store to make breakfest.

After been contacted by the owner and reviewed the reply from the owner below. I still want to clarify the following:

I was a loyal customer for this store before and I also promoted this shop to my friends before this bad experience. The owner contacted me after I left this comment above. However, I believe google marking system is fair and objective to not only help customer to know more about the restaurant but also for restaurants improve to benefit more people.

Additionally, to be fair, I am not the only one mentioned that the breakfast took long time to wait with bad experience. Also, as a customer I have mentioned that I am in a hurry, it is not acceptable that in the process the owner just kind of saying they have no problem at all while I believe customer should have the voice to speak out in this situation. I paid for my food but I have not received proper service, it is reasonable for me to ask for a refund rather a replacement (as the owner mentioned 8am thing). The owner refused to take the advice, didn‘t do the refund (i havent received any yet even if the staff has promised in the call yesterday) and even block my number after sending me a message without any willing to improve the service.

After this experience I would not change this score as it is more than fair for all the post service actions. I also believe fair trading is a better platform to...

Being a local I was quite excited to see the first business open up and provide some lunch and dinner options.

Unfortunately in comparison to other vietnamese restaurants only a short 10 minutes drive away in Chatswood (Phood or Xic Lo), the food simply is not as good from a value perspective.

I wont even begin to compare it to having pho in Cabramatta or Marrikville.

My biggest gripes with this place are:

The amount paid compared to the portion sizes, both the pho and the rice dishes are tiny, the pork chops are small, the pho has barely enough noodles. Its just a stingy serving portion. This is compared to eating at other vietnamese restaurants in other areas (where its not only cheaper but larger), and even my partner who has eaten pho in Vietnam has baulked at the portioning.

The wagyu pho is very rare and the soup was barely hot enough (and there wasnt much of it) to cook the meat.

The organisation of this place really needs work, their trading hours are terribly inconsistent, they have posters around the buildings that show one opening time, then their instagram and website show other times and recently they stopped opening on Sundays and decided not to update their online web sites and just stuck a piece of paper on the glass for a day thinking everyone would see it.

Again, the food itself is ok, not great, but i'd eat it and I dont really have options in the area at the moment, but the portions are just not acceptable...

Walked in at the counter 2 people preparing coffee one person taking orders. No communication at all from the staff I stood there for at least two or three minutes no acknowledgement or communication at all. Finally one said can I take your order, no hello how are you or anything like that. Very poor communication people skills, none. I finally asked for egg and bacon roll and a coffee. He said it was on the menu and I said yes okay that’s what I’m ordering, No communication from him. He turned his back to me and started preparing other food and other orders and did not take the my order. I stood there for another further two minutes. Then finally one of the coffee machine girls took the order. Still no hello, took the order Very robotic, gave my change to me back on the counter. Just very poor service. Only two customers in the shop at the time took forever for the order to come out never back there again. The food product was poor used a Vietnamese style roll for the Bun just crumbled apart everywhere, broke apart, the eggs were fried to soggy just made a mess everywhere, very dry, no taste.

Possibly could you change your owners or staff members just not caring at all just there to make a few dollars and don’t care about the customers. Very poor customer service Experience from all staff members and sadly the product...
