3.6 - up from 3.4 Went back and tried the Pho ($18.90). It was surprisingly better than I thought, judging from my taste of the Wonton Soup noodles last time. The Pho soup actually tasted home-made, which I like but had heaps of oil. However, there wasn't enough of the aromas or freshness flavour in the soup, and there was no tendon. Also tried the Longan drink.
The Seafood spring rolls have a delightful crunch with it's nested outer shell. The seafood inside is cut up quite small that it just tastes soft. I think it would be nicer if the pieces were bigger so there could have an extra texture! I also had the Prawn & Pork Wonton Soup Noodles - very oily soup but large portions of noodles! The wonton skin is overly soft and the actual wontons are tiny, with lots of wrapper skin around them. Not good. Waitress seemed pleasant enough, and overly quite efficient. I may come back to try the Pho, as that seems to be their specialty, judging...
Read moreThis was my first time visiting this restaurant, and I will definitely return. First of all, the food was absolutely delicious. I tried the vegetarian spring rolls, and they were the best I've ever had. I also appreciated the presentation of the food, especially with the shredded vegetables on the side. The sauce that accompanied the dish was fantastic. I ordered the ice milk tea, which was also very tasty since it wasn't overly sweet like at other places.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was incredibly inviting, with lovely decorations, including plants and lights that created a warm ambience. Additionally, the service was outstanding. I would highly recommend making this your go-to pho place. I also think the name of the restaurant is creative and unique. Overall, it’s the best pho place I’ve experienced, and it would be a mistake not to...
Read moreTried the beef pho and chicken laksa recently, and both were decent but didn’t quite hit the mark.
The beef pho had a clear broth with a mild flavour, good but lacked the depth and richness you’d expect from a standout pho. The beef slices were tender, though the portion felt a bit small. The herbs were fresh, which helped elevate the dish slightly.
The chicken laksa had a nice creamy coconut base with a bit of a kick, but it was on the salty side. The noodles were cooked well. However, the broth felt a little heavy and could use more balance in flavour.
Overall, not bad, but there’s room for improvement in both dishes. A solid spot if you’re after something warm and comforting, but not the...
