Hi everyone, this is Edward. I’m writing this review to help others avoid a bad experience and prevent their mood from being ruined.
Today at Eastwood Hotel was the worst club experience I have ever had.
My friends and I often visit clubs around Eastwood for leisure, such as Landmark Hotel, Ermington Hotel, Silverwater Hotel, Wentworth Point Hotel, and Rydalmere Tavern. I wouldn’t call myself a VIP, but I am at least a regular guest.
However, my experience at Eastwood Hotel this time was extremely disappointing. For the first half hour after I entered, no staff came over to ask if I needed water or a drink. Even after I asked one staff member for a bottle of water, it still took nearly 20 minutes before anything was brought. This was around 6 p.m., when the club wasn’t busy at all, and apart from the manager, there were at least three other staff members present.
May I ask, is this how you train your staff? Is this how your staff are supposed to serve customers? Has your club become self-service now? Are your staff just there for show? People come here to relax and enjoy themselves, but instead my good mood was instantly ruined. This is honestly the worst service I have ever experienced at any club, without exception. A club with this level of service is truly a disgrace to your company. Does your boss even know that the employees he is paying are just chatting and strolling around while on duty? I honestly can’t understand why anyone would come to such a club to relax.
Such a club is simply not worth spending money at. This is also the first time in all my years of going to clubs that I have been treated this way. I hope others think twice before visiting, so their good mood won’t be ruined...
Read moreA large group of us attended the Hotel with the intention of getting dinner. One of the individuals within our group was under 18. We had two persons in our party both over 25 years of age (the legally defined age of a responsible adult).
Initially we were waiting for the two persons over 25 to arrive, so we were forced to wait outside in the wet weather. The security guard at that part stated "There had to be 10 years age difference"
He let some of us in, and we had ordered in anticipation of our friends joining us, assuming there shouldn't be an issue. Once the couple over 25 (the legally defined responsible adults) arrived, we were refused again. Once he had seen the ID, the security guard then changed the story saying "You need to be brothers".
I again asked for the reason, with the reasoning that our friend is legally allowed to be in here. According to the law they did not seem to be following.
Furthermore, the security and now manager who had joined us insinuated that because our younger friend was Caucasian, that our two Asian friends (who were the older individuals) couldnt have been the responsible adults, because "there is no way they could be his parents." Not that would even be required.
The final story the manager was able to come up with was that it was their "house policy". The law does allow these, however there was no actual clarification of what they were, infact the story changed on multiple occasions.
We were deeply upset as our group was separated into two eating parties.
The food we did eat was above average, but it was hard to enjoy and appreciate truly given the...
Read moreAs a pub and a restaurant this place is nice and inviting, As for the gamming, the management is ridiculously greedy. I have been coming to the Eastwood hotel for well over 25 years, the staff are helpfull and friendly, the place is cosy, but what make it not worth the visit is managements greed on the gamming machines. After a meal and a few drinks, it's enjoyable to play the gamming machines, I have done this many times at this place. Since the place has changed hands the gamming has been unendurable, impossible to play and stay for more then 5 min as the returns are so low. This place was always packed, it was hard to get a machine to play. NOT ANYMORE, now the place is empty and quiet as people all falling the same trap. No cheating, no excited players, just sadness and very few players, just like me we walk in and walk out 10 min & 250 later. The Eastwood is only good for the restaurant, and it's a younger person's environment, the pub is good for a few drinks, but get out after that. Management let the staff down, they try so hard and as so nice, only to be compensating for management greed, staff are the ones who have to put up with sad and unhappy customers, because they are getting robbed and unhappy about their...
