Middling Japanese-Korean food at good value relative to other restaurants around UNSW.
EDIT: I should probably make this a little more comprehensive.
Their food isn't the most authentic in the world, but that isn't necessarily a problem if the food is well made. In general, there's little to complain about. Prices aren't exactly cheap per se, but relative to other eat-in places around the area, this is one of the more affordable options on a per-dish basis. On a price-to-volume basis, there are better options, but Japanese food isn't exactly known for great volume dishes so this also isn't too big a deal.
Most of my experience is from eating the sushi and fried dishes, which in general were decent to good tasting. Most of the food was more on the sweet side, which, while is to be expected of some dishes, I feel should have a slightly greater emphasis on the balance of savoury and sweet notes. Can't say much about their soup-based dishes since I haven't had any of them.
The place is a little bit on the cramped side, especially the booths, so unless you are a relatively thin or small person, try to snag a middle table instead. Staff are relatively attentive, can't really ask for too much more than that.
All in all, one of the more reasonable Japanese/Korean offerings in the area, definitely worth visiting if...
Read moreThe service is quite slow and quite rude. Let alone the long wait time for the food, when we asked the waitress to bring some spoons, she was just standing at the same spot turning her back to us. Then I waited for several minutes before I talked to her again, politely asking for the spoon, she finally turned back again with impatience on her face, and said “ I need to go back to kitchen and then I can get the spoon …(can’t remember the rest)” I was quite shocked that time, since it was the first time I felt like I was pushing the waitress to do what she was supposed to do, and I didn’t see any excuse for not bringing spoons within minutes. Whatever, since that bad and strange experience, I’ve never and will never visit there again.
Btw, the food there was just so so, I’ve been to several different Sushi restaurants, this is the least pleasant one (either for food or...

The food was lovely with the average price per dish ranging from 14 ~ 25. We bought rice and 3 share dishes to eat between the 4 of us totalling the order to 70 which is around 17pp
The sushi rolls were lovely, and jam-packed full of flavour. I could definitely see myself ordering them again.
The Korean snow cheese chicken however was a little lacking in flavour compared to other K-chicken places and there appeared to be flavorless coconut? Looking flakes on top of ours which was weird.
The service was extremely lovely with dishes coming consecutively straight after we had finished each meal. The waiter was extremely welcoming and was good at explaining what was on the menu.
Overall this is a great restaurant that you should come to...
