From the moment I stepped into 'Da Alfredo' in Glebe, I knew I was in for an authentic Italian treat. The pizzeria, bustling with a vibrant atmosphere, immediately transported me to the streets of Napoli.
The star of the show was undoubtedly the Neapolitan-style pizza. Each pizza was a masterpiece, with a perfectly charred and pillowy crust that only a true artisan could achieve. The toppings were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced, capturing the essence of Italy in every bite.
But what truly set 'Da Alfredo' apart was the exceptional service, particularly from Silvia. Her attentive and warm approach made our dining experience feel personal and special. She was knowledgeable about the menu, offered great recommendations, and ensured our glasses were always full.
Silvia's service was a testament to 'Da Alfredo's commitment to not just great food, but also a memorable dining experience. It's rare to find a place that excels in both, but 'Da Alfredo' in Glebe does just that.
I can't recommend this gem enough. Whether you're a pizza aficionado or just looking for a delightful meal, 'Da Alfredo' is a must-visit. Grazie, 'Da Alfredo', for bringing a slice of Napoli to...
Read moreStaff was lovely, and so was the rocket salad. That's sadly the only positives about our dining night out at Pizzeria da Alfredo. Me and my partner (who's Italian btw) also ordered 2 pizzas (1 standard, 1 calzone), to share and compare. The first pizza had an OK dough texture though plain tasting; The ingredients on the pizza were "wet" and falling off the dough. It tasted like nothing really, just very plain. The calzone was pretty much the same, plain tasting, even though the ingredients were very different from our other pizza. And so much dough! I also found disappointing that the cheapest red wine bottle started at $50. And BYO wine $10 per person corkage fee?? Common'!! Lastly...Why put the music up so loud? We couldn't hear each other therefore we had to speak quite loud/ repeat ourselves the whole time. So did the other patrons, which made for an exhaustingly unpleasant experience. We took the leftover pizzas home. The following day, I reheated them in oven for 15min (to try to dry them out) with added pinch of salt, drizzle of good olive oil and fresh basil, it made such a difference! Sorry Alfredo, you won't become one of...
Read moreThe pizza is pretty good, Naples style and one of a few pizzerias I’d eat at Sydney. I’ve even met the owner who’s a nice guy and gave me some pizza tips for Naples a few years ago.
I went there again last night and there was a mistake and the same pizza got ordered twice in a 3 pizza order through an app. I headed there straight away and my pizzas still hadn’t started cooking when I got there which is fine.
After 20mins my pizzas were ready and when they came I was just going to take them off the girl but she said “can you double check this is your order”…. And she read off the order which was wrong. I said “we didn’t order two of the same pizza”. She said you did and “don’t worry the two you have a good one”.
Well….. it wasn’t a good one! In fact the pizza that was missed was my favourite one. Maybe next time try to resolve the situation rather than shut it down.
Even though the pizza is good, the service and wrong pizza made me wish I had gone...
