Ordered takeaway from here yesterday after seeing that it had opened. It's a new restaurant, and earning a reputation must be hard. I was so impressed with the quality of the food that I wanted to help the owners out and leave an honest review!
GOOD The food was delicious! We ordered: Medium spiced Dal - the flavours were so fresh, you could really taste the herbs. Just the right amount of spice. Medium spiced Chicken Chettinad - Light and flavoursome. Not at all oily like some other local Indian restaurants. Will order a level up on spiciness next time. Palak Paneer - the first thing that strikes you about this is the rich, deep colour. Then the paneer, which is soft rather than chewy. Then the spinach palak sauce which is AMAZING! So savoury and moreish! I could have smash the entire tub if I didn't have to share with my family. Medium didn't have any obvious spice, so would go one level up next time too. Zeera Rice - so much more fun than standard Pilau. Peshwari Naan - We were fighting over the last of this! Sweet, great with the Dal, no gross burnt bits. Winner. Finally, the chap that served me had a big warm smile on his face and was very friendly.
BAD When ordering online, the website wouldn't accept our Mastercard, so had to pay on pickup. Then the card machine was down when I arrived so had to do a bank transfer. I'm sure these technical issues were just teething problems with the new restaurant though. Also the restaurant itself was very brightly lit. Personal preference, but if I was dining in, I would have preferred the lighting to be softer so it felt less like a dentist waiting room. It's much more comfortable when you can sink into the background - Nobody else needs to see me eat and spill my food down myself!
100% will be ordering from here again and exploring more...
Read moreWe visited couple of weeks back and decided to dine in for the next 10 days while on holiday in Sydney as the food was good.
We waited nearly 40 minutes for our food, and my husband went to the counter to check what was going on, What he witnessed was absolutely disgusting âthe chef was literally hammering and hacking away at frozen Haleem with a screwdriver with his bare hands and on the floorâ. Right there in plain sight from the counter. This is NOT how food should be handled. We are shocked at the lack of hygiene and basic food standards. It completely ruined our appetite.
While the ambiance was nice, none of this matters if the kitchen is operating like this. We just wondered if this is happening in front of the counter, God knows what happens behind in the kitchen. We will never be coming back, and weâre warning all our family and friends to avoid this place. Disappointed is an understatement.
The food we received looked presentable but we...
Read moreWe visited this place last week with great hopes and appetite. The quality and quantity of food was below average. We had Fish Tikka, Mutton Kadahi and Chicken Jalfarezi. I can tell you that none of these looked and tasted like as these should. I suspect that these people are using some student as a cook or someone who just came out of Jail. What a horrible experience and I will never go back again. Also, the cold drink was served in 02 glasses with lots of Ice and I suspect that they used 01 x Can to fill up the 02 Glasses. Very smart way of ripping off the customers. ON top of that when I asked about the 20% discount being offered on the Bill, I was told that "our Menu is already adjusted to that pricing discount". Just imagine.....!! Their website is also misguided by showing celebrities of some other place or restaurant. I suggest these people to go out to other restaurants to get the taste of how these food items taste like and then learn...
