My family came here for lunch we all ordered steak med rare, well done, 2 mediums. We received our order which was incorrect, the women put through eye fillet , when it was ment to be a a beef rib eye 2 completely different things and waited over 20 mins again and one of the steaks were basically rare not even cook to the liking. The lady at the counter when I took the eye fillet back for an exchanged she said we don’t waste food when I responded I have to go back and and ask again to correct my Order AND STILL GOT THE WRONG ONE! coming from a chef it not that hard to serve customers what they want especially when their isn’t busy. It not that hard to cook a steak it the most simplist thing that can be made in a kitchen actually being served hot and on top. This place was ment to be nice as we were all here yester day and enjoyed our meals but when it comes to my girlfriend coming back to remake steak as it was given blue wasn’t my type of thing and forcing her to take it she responded that she will not take it back til it is made properly and acceptable to eat while the chef was staring her down giving her a death stare. The lady at the counter was explaining to her how she can’t take it back forcing her to eat it as she said no I paid $60 for this and can’t even get a remake that takes 2 mins out of there time. She watch the chef show the other one and chucked it in the oven making it burnt to the crisp how is this service when it wasn’t made to liking this is unacceptable especially in the kitch even when it’s been taken back more than once have they not learnt they’re mistake the fist time. It’s not even that hard and I know from experience of customers feel and in the kitchen. And gave me a refund but made me pay the whole thing again wanting me to to pay more than I...
Read moreWe have a gorgeous friend who is in a nearby aged care facility. We took him out for lunch and he suggested the “club”.
He said the Chinese restaurant upstairs was quite good but overpriced. He said he nearly died when the bill came out. So we stayed downstairs and opted for the Steak & Oyster place.
We didn’t tell our dear old friend about our bill!!! Three mains and one alcoholic drink each: $240. Ok maybe $240 is ok for some people. However, in my thinking, when you have to collect your own meal after being summoned by a buzzer, AND drink water from plastic “glasses”, I think it’s incredibly steep. (I actually asked if we could have glass glasses but was politely told “no”. Our single wines 🍷 were in glass wine glasses, and they had glass schooners available, so I don’t see what was the problem.) Plus, you could make zero adjustments to the menu. For example, we don’t eat chips but could not get a substitute.)
There was no ambience, at all. A clean but cold and heartless venue. I would not go there again. Considering we were there for about 90 minutes in the middle of a Saturday and the place was almost empty, I’m guessing we’re not...
Read moreGood quality, delicious food for a premium price.
The old Zest eatery has been transformed into a food court style "Eat Street". The system attraction is Steak and Co.
On their menu, one of the signature dishes is a 1Kg Dry Aged T-bone Steak ($80) that is designed to be shared between two or more people. Good Value if you compare it to the price of two individual steaks ($42-55). The steak wad cooked to perfection. Plenty of seasoning at just the right temperature. The side dishes however was a little disappointing. The cabbage slaw a was tiny and well... Was just lettuce and cabbage - not really a slaw - not worth the price at all, while the fries was crispy and delicious. The kids meal of Fish Fingers and fries ($10) was one of the best fish fingers I've seen. Good quality crumbed fish strips along with s side of fries! It's nice to see that the kids meals ate not neglected.
Highly recommend to try this place out, but be prepared to pay the premium prices for the premium...
