Very unhappy that i was unable to change my daughters nappy since the only change table was in the female bathroom (I'm the father). The worker pressured and forced to have someone else (a female, not the mother or my wife) to change my daughters nappy instead of assisting with a solution. Putting a change table in a disabled bathroom is ideal. Food was average, nothing special. Service was average, I liked that they continually took our dirty plates, disliked they didnt replace the plates and cutlery, had to ask for it. A worker threatened the kids who were playing in the open area that they were in the way that this is their "last chance" even though they said they were kid friendly. Nice big windows to view the nice water, unfortunately they closed the shades which was odd. Our party was on the opposite side, the party closest to the window must have been the party to request that shading us from the experience. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend or be returning...
Read moreOk, but nothing special to write home about. The location is lovely with unobstructed views of the inlet. Parking is available. The service was friendly and the wait time to receive the order acceptable. There is a reasonably priced lunch special offering a main and a dessert. We ordered the grilled snapper and lamb skewers with panna cotta for dessert. The snapper was a whole fish (not deboned) with lemony tasting sauce poured over it. The fish was somewhat overcooked, but the sauce was the real let down. Tbe lamb skewers were quite chewy, as the mear was overcooked. The accompanying tzatziki was sparse (it came in a Chinese soup spoon), which in a way was a blessing as it tasted more like a mayo. The salad which was served with both mains was ok, while the chips lacked softness on the inside and were too salty. The panna cotta with berries was pretty good, though not perfect. If you are looking for an average meal for under $25, Carmen's on the...
Read moreI was looking for a good place to eat at, when I noticed Carmen’s on the Park Five Dock on the map. I decided to go all the way there, and wow, I really did good First thing you'll notice is the amazing location, with a beautiful view other the (Five Dock) bay Then the staff, very welcoming, starting by Carmen herself I learned her family is from Sicilia Italy, so you know you're in for an authentic experience It was hard to choose between all the tempting options, but I followed her recommendations and went for Zucchini Flowers to start with, and Cozze Pazzi Mussels I was surprised how the zucchini flowers could be deep fried and yet not oily, plus they came loaded with melted cheese, loved them And then the mussels, they are actually served in a tureen with Napolitano (tomato & more) sauce, covered with pizza Very unique, authentic, and yummy What an experience Highly...
