Went there on Sunday night around 9:30pm. I was looking forward to this place after reading the reviews but it was a huge letdown. I ordered for half chook meal. The fries was made fresh - no complaints on it. The charcoal pit was turned off and I asked the person about it. He said they make it fresh at the inside kitchen and I specifically asked if the chicken is cooked fresh for which he said yes. But the chicken I got served was extremely dry and chewy. It was definitely just reheated and not cooked fresh. Probably avoid this place when it’s not too busy and avoid late nights as they clearly turn off the charcoal pit after a time and they just reheat the cooked chicken.

We came after an oz tag training session and had the chicken ribs which were absolutely amazing !! Make sure to get sumak as well on the chicken ribs :) we finished it and we’re licking our fingers afterwards, we finished everything clean. What a local gem

The food is ok but the chicken size is a bit small. Did taste a hint of lemon on the chicken. Price wise a little more than I expected to pay

I went in to chookrun to order some food. It was very hot inside and the guy who was working in there was sweating profusely. With his hands he would wife his sweat and I could even see sweat dripping off his nose. He started preparing my salad and with his fingers he grabbed the pickles and put it into the container (the same hands that was wiping sweat). He then again with his bare hands grabbed the bread and places it into the container. As yummy as the food looked o through it in the bin and wasted $12. Disgusting would never go...

How is this place still open? The food was absolutely disgusting. The chicken was still hot but dry. The hommus was watery and so was the garlic. The tabuli the owner said he made fresh but was dry and chunky. The bread was fresh, the chips had a weird taste. I have nothing against the owner or this place, I have driven past the shop over 100 times but never stopped. I only writing this review because it is not up to the standard and a complete waste of money. They should really improve...
