Dear team,
I hope this review finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment and dissatisfaction with the service I received at Starbucks Mt Druitt on 24/07/23 at 20:47. The purpose of this review is to bring to your attention an incident that left me feeling uncomfortable and disheartened as a valued customer.
On the aforementioned date, I visited the Starbucks Mt Druitt store to purchase my coffee order, following the TikTok recipe for the Vietnamese salted coffee (a Venti Espresso with 2 shots, 1 pump of Mocha, 1 pump of White Mocha, 1 dash of cream and salted caramel cream cold foam). I came yesterday and the coffee was nice so I came back today.
Upon paying for my order at drive through, I was astonished to be met with an entirely inappropriate response from the team. We were asked which management we were under. And we were like excuse me sorry what do you mean? Then the staff explained to us that we only pay $6.30/ coffee for this order, which we should have paid around $8 for. We were advised this is the iced white mocha with cold foam and dash of cream. They told us to order the ice white mocha next time and get charged properly. Then they grabbed the receipt to write down what we should order next time to get charged properly, they said they would let us go this time.
I was like what was that? Was I not allowed to order like that? It was a good Monday and I just want to complete it with a nice coffee. I didn't expect to feel like I have done something wrong, that I have cheated the system to get cheaper coffee. Sorry in advance staff if you did not mean it, but that's exactly what I felt like, I was very upset and disappointed.
The staff's comment insinuated that I was attempting to take advantage of an error or exploit the system, which was both embarrassing and unwarranted. As a loyal customer, I believe that such remarks are not only unprofessional but also offensive to customers who expect to be treated with respect and courtesy. It is not the responsibility of the customers to monitor the pricing discrepancies; instead, is it the duty of Starbucks and its staff to ensure that accurate pricing is reflected in the point of sale system?
I would greatly appreciate if the staff could have kindly told me that this is the recipe for ice mocha and it costs $8. I would be more than happy to pay. I did it to try out the recipe on TikTok, not because of the money. And when I came to Starbucks Mt Druitt, I felt nothing but judged. I don't appreciate you wrote it down and told us to order it next time , to be charged properly. That was not nice and not respectful at all. Please kindly do not make assumptions and treat your customers badly. It would be greatly appreciated if Starbucks Mt Druitt can please kindly let customer know that you are not flexible and only make to order what's on the menu.
It is essential for Starbucks to handle such situations with grace and professionalism. Customers should not be made to feel uncomfortable or embarrassed due to their specific coffee requests. The incident left a lasting negative impression on me and tarnished my experience with Starbucks Mt Druitt.
I value the quality of products and service Starbucks has provided over the years, and I sincerely hope that this will be taken seriously and handled with utmost consideration.
Thank you...
Read moreWent this morning and watched as my drink was given to someone else, and handed back to staff as they gave the person the wrong drink (only two people including myself in drive thru), the man who was working on drive thru then handed the headset over to a woman inside and didnt want to talk to us, when we asked if that was the one they just handed to someone else the girl laughed it off and said "oh I don't know I'm not sure, when getting the drink it looked like someone had a sip of it so we parked and my partner went inside, they swore up and down that it was not given to someone else and that no one had even taken a sip of it and refused to re make the drink, he had to go in a second time to demand them make a new drink as we did pay for it already. This is customer service if you made a mistake own up to it, and just make a new drink they had us feeling like such horrible people when you shouldn't be giving someone a drink someone else has taken, especially when there's a lip smudge where someone has taken a sip of it, have been going here every weekday in the morning and will definitely never be coming back, I hope everyone reads this before getting from here because now I just can't help but think how many times has this happened here, it was...
Read moreI go to Starbucks every single day, and yesterday was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. I went through the drive-thru around 3:30 and ordered four drinks. When she asked if I wanted a cup tray, I said yes — obviously. She only put two drinks in the tray and just handed me the other two separately, which made no sense at all. Then, when I pointed out that one of the drinks was wrong, she just stood there staring at me like I wasn’t even speaking. I had to repeat myself three times before she finally fixed it.
When she did, she grabbed the drink out of my hand and turned to her co-worker saying “she wants coffee this time” in the rudest tone ever. That alone was completely unprofessional, but it gets worse — I checked today and realized I was actually charged extra for the drink, and she never gave me back what I overpaid. On top of everything, she shoved the drink out the window at me in such an aggressive way, it was honestly shocking.
If you’re having a bad day, that’s not the customer’s fault. Don’t take it out on people who are literally paying for your service. This whole experience was beyond frustrating and...
