I love my sushi and this one is horrible!! As soon as I sat, wait staff kept on asking to order the drink before she gave me the menu! Than while I was reading at the menu, she came back and asked me to order drink menu quickly! Than I finally order drinks and asked for more wasabie and ginger, she just ignored that. And there weren't lot's of option on sushi train so I asked guy if they could make one that with out avocado as I was allergic to it. But the guys were kept on speaking in Chinese to each other rather than responding to us. So I stared eating what ever I could eat. But they were so salty and sushi rice weren't nice. And some of the sushis were cover with the sauce. And we decided to leave at that and paid, the cashier were again talking to each other and left us for about 5 min. And than they ask us if we had if we had some changes. Like how hard it is to ask customer that they were short in change and ask straight away. Or informing us first. Than they were talking to each other in Chinese for a while assuming that they were trying to figure out what to do. And older staff were just looking at the younger staffs not trying helping!!! Than when I said the food was too salty. Then they were repeated saying 'salty?' 'salty?'. So if you want to visit here, do expect that you have to order drinks before you sit and food will be saltier than you think and when you make complaints or ask a question, they will speak Chinese or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to the AYCE promotion on 7/08, lined up at 4:30pm and got in as last round of tables at 7:20pm. Unfortunately they do only have about 20 seats capacity which is probably why the turn over is 'slow' but I want to commend Katy who was manager on the night, she remained calm at all times with the crowd and the hustle of the night. I saw her constantly helping out staff to ensure the AYCE conveyor belt was full for the diners but most importantly she showed genuine customer service which was above and beyond. At 6pm she calculated that only the remaining 20 or so people at the front of the queue will most likely get a spot to eat, so she had to turn away the remaining 80 odd people at the queue. Genuinely, at that point she could have just made a big announcement to the crowd that there are no more seats, instead she took the time to chat to each customer and explain the situation. AYCE wise, I was surprised at the quality and range available - they did not skimp out on aburi scallop, aburi salmon, sashimi, scampi, sweet prawns - there was lots to go around. Sushi hub, please pass on the positive feedback to Katy and the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went for the unlimited sushi train promotion on a Tuesday evening.
There was a long queue already in the waiting line at 530pm. One of the staff came to take down names and contact details. By the time I was called, it was close to 830pm. It's not a big sushi train and the seating is a bit limited for a promotion like this. So I can understand. But this could have been better managed or kept real estimates with the customers so that they could manage their parking etc.
The actual dining experience was good. The sushi and sashimi were also good. I was seated at the end booth so a lot of the good stuff was picked off the train before it reached me. But the restaurant manager (I think her name was Katy) was on top of organising it and separately visited our booth to ask what we had missed. Those dishes were separately brought to us. Very grateful to her. Stuffed myself and can't eat sushi for a few days now. But will be back in line even earlier if the promotion comes up again.
Thank you to all the staff; who were clearly under the pump all night, but were still friendly and gave very good customer...
