The Baker's Wife Juicery & Salad Bar — Restaurant in Sydney

Ive been going regularly to this cafe since it opened and constantly have the same conversations with the staff here... Why don’t I take the hint and just stop going, find somewhere else to spend time and money while my daughter is at ballet three times a week, far from home...? “This salad is great except it needs dressing - do you have any?” Today I ordered the roast vegetable salad and it really needs a balsamic vinegar or a chutney or something as it’s very plain, as is the lentil salad which needs seasoning for a start. I’ve mentioned it dozens of times and so has one of my friends, she told me recently. “No, sorry,” said the girl today and walked away, not even bothering to ask anyone. The cakes are all raw and soggy in my opinion and they don’t have earl grey tea - the substitute is rubbish. Plus it takes ages for them to make a juice and there is never a sorry if they get anything wrong. The main dude on the coffee machine is nice but if he is the manager he really needs to manage, not just make coffee. The sandwiches are quite high priced and just not up to scratch. My kids like the fruit salad but I won’t return just for that. I realise the owner is now a family man busy with kids and intent on taking over Springwood’s high street (3 outlets and counting) but you can never be complacent in the restaurant-cafe business..., small businesses come and go all the time. The only good thing this place has going for it is there’s barely any cafes open in Springwood after 3pm. Other than that the Bakers Wife is grossly overrated. Maybe they make good coffee and that’s how they’ve survived, I dunno, but the food and service here leaves a bit to be desired...

Absolutely disgusted with the service provided. Had to wait 10 minutes to be served today when there was only one person in front of me. Asked a young man working on the coffee machine to speed things up and he didn’t. I said to him if he doesn’t provide a service I will have to go somewhere else. He then suggested that I should go somewhere else. I also didn’t get the raw cake that I asked for and by the time I realised this I was on the train. A chocolate slice was put in the bag. I will not be recommending this coffee shop to anyone in the near future with the appalling service that I was provided with and I certainly won’t be goin back to that...

Today I went to the bakers wife to find a salad for lunch. As I walked in I was delighted with the customer service from the staff. So I ordered a Caesar salad it cost me a shocking $11 the container mass is 630ml and it wasn’t even completely filled. This is wayyyy over priced. I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for over 5 years and I have a wide understanding of pricing for cost and make of such items. This is crazy prices for a little bit of lettuce sauce and meat. May I also add that there was next to no chicken in the salad. Quite upset over this definitely wouldn’t recommend going due...
