Was told the Kitchen was open at 4:00pm, opened 4:12pm. To pay for my meal, I had to give my name, address, and phone number. I don’t like that, I just want to pay! There is a service fee, for what? It’s tiny, but that’s not the point! I should be paying for the meal I’m eating only. Two of the staff were abrupt and rude, two of the staff were lovely, 50%, not good odds, it’s a service industry. The meal was crumbed fish, mashed peas, and chips. I couldn’t believe it, the meal came down without the mashed peas, three ingredients and they forgot one! When asked they said “oh, is that on the menu” ? I think the chef should have known! The chips were packet string style and the fish was nice, the plate uninspiring! Overall very, very disappointing! Outside, the same bouncer confronted me in an unprofessional manner, even resorting to derogatory terms like 'baby girl.' Such behavior is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on the establishment's management.
I would strongly advise potential patrons to reconsider attending the pub given the lack of professionalism and respect demonstrated by...

I was randomly joining my in-laws in the Cricketers Pub and we decided to go to the restaurant upstairs. The menu was full of traditional French dishes. I asked the chef to surprise us. So he did perfectly! With preparing an assortment of handmade traditional dishes that reminded me of my childhood “Pate en croute” Pate de foie”, “Terrine au pruneau”, “Rillettes” then “traditional steak fritters with wine sauce” and for dessert “a delicious chocolate tart with fruits. All surrounded by 2 bottles of Côte du Rhone to open our senses. I'd like to offer my compliments to this chef! Don't miss out. Go quickly before he becomes too famous, and you have to book six...
