Came for a lunch/brunch type situation with my girlfriend (friend who is a girl!) and to say the service was good is completely and utterly wrong. This cafe is a hidden gem in the (extremely steep) Surry Hills area. Amelia was a brilliant staff member who was great to converse with, and also quick to check in on us over time as we decided what to order. Hearing local lore about the frogs around the area (mainly figurines?) and just having a laugh, the sun was out in full force, but wasn’t necessary with the warm, cozy atmosphere this cafe brings.
The food was also incredible, having the Kimchi Chicken Sandwich, and I am leaving feeling stuffed and content. This will not do favours for my current beer belly, but that’s okay. The salad on the side balances it out. 😋

Read moreWhat a wonderful place to be on a Sunday morning. I could not wish for a better atmosphere. The people working there are incredibly kind and supporting. The food arrived super fast and tastes like heaven. We ordered the halloumi Avo toast (one of their signature dishes) and the French Toast. Both were so so tasteful and delicious. I have never had a French toast with Pistaccio Crumble! Daniel, the owner is a lovely person who even integrated in conversation with me and my friend. Sadly, I just came to visit but l will come back when I come back to Sydney one time. I added some pictures, I guess they talk for...

While the Reuben sandwich tasted good, the bread was fully black (burned) on the underside (I didn’t really appreciate that an attempt was made to hide it instead of remaking the sandwich and it did not feel like a satisfactory dish to pay $22 for). We also ordered the hashbrown eggs, one of the signature dishes and while the texture of the hashbrowns and presentation were great, the portion was on the small side and I was still hungry afterwards. This dish was almost $30 by the time I added a slice of toast. The food aside, the cafe is nicely furnished, the coffee was nice and the waitress was...
