Last night I ordered food through the Menulog app and my order was placed at 18:20, delivery time was between 18:55 - 19:05. This then changed to 19:20-19:45. So at 19:30 I called the restaurant and they informed me that the food was ready at 19:00 and was sat on the counter waiting to be picked up by the driver, the meal contained chicken. I decided to go to the restaurant myself, so when I arrived the food had now been sat on the counter for nearly 50 minutes.
I spoke to the two ladies at the counter and they informed me and I completely agreed with them that it was Menulog failure to find a driver for my food. I told them it was not a good idea and dangerous to eat the meal because it was chicken and they should throw it away and the ladies agreed both saying eating chicken after it had now been sat there on the counter for 1 hour was dangerous.
I left the restaurant and went next door to get another quick meal. I received a notification from Menulog saying my food had been picked up and was on route to my apartment. I went back into the restaurant and asked what had happened and to my astonishment they had given the delivery driver my food! It had now been cooked 1 hour and 15 minutes ago.
When I went home the delivery driver still hadn’t arrived, he finally arrived 1 and a half hours after my chicken dinner had been cooked. It was completely stone cold.
As a restaurant they surely have a duty of care to the customers they are serving. To let a customer receive chicken 1.5hrs after it had been cooked is totally irresponsible and dangerous! It could have made me seriously ill.
The fault for the long wait was completely with Menulog and I totally understand that, but to let the delivery driver receive the food and deliver it 1.5 hours after it had been cooked has to be the restaurant responsibility.
Had I consume the food, it could of made me seriously ill.
I have reported this restaurant to Randwick Council and New South Wales...
Read morePink Thai, if the food is even half as bad as the name your in for a nightmare.
I have been going to Thai restaurants within the greater Sydney area and can I just say that pink Thai takes the cake for all the wrong reasons.
I have been to pink Thai more than once to try and give them a chance to redeem themselves and unsurprisingly they have failed every time. The food is a complete rip off for what they give you, I ordered the Thai fried rice with chicken and can I just say for $22 it is a total scam!
They serve you frozen vegetables from the supermarket freezer that I doubt they get for even $7 in bulk and barley give you any chicken at all with the dish being called "Thai fried rice with chicken". And for pink Thai to call themselves an "Authentic Thai restaurant" within the eastern suburbs is an absolute shambles.
but if you think only the food is bad the service isn't much better, once I ordered a Thai fried rice with chicken again after my first experience to try and give them a chance to redeem themselves but I was surprised when I received my food without any chicken at all and what they had actually given me was a vegetable stir fry. I made a complaint over the phone and they offered me to take it back to them and they would give me my correct order, once I turned up to the front counter they then told me that I would have to pay for my correct order even though I haven't eaten any of the food.
Overall, if you are looking for an "Authentic Thai restaurant" within greater Sydney, don't waste your time and money at Pink Thai as their service and food is an...
Read moreWhilst the food was tasty, the portion sizes were abysmal. My Crying Tiger Beef was a small portion, the sauce was not spicy at all (did someone forget the chilli that was supposed to bring tears to my eyes?) and it came with a few pieces of lettuce leaves, not the salad that the menu promised. I also had the fish cakes which were nice but a little bit greasy so I wrapped them in the napkin to soak up some of the grease. Rice does not come with the main meal and costs extra which was disappointing. Although the food was nice, it was unfortunately not what the menu claimed and not worth the price that I paid. After an entree and a main, I was still hungry! It's a shame because this restaurant has gone downhill in the last year or so. It used to be perfect but after tonight's...
