My partner and I waited in the queue for a table. The staff said there will be 10-15 minutes wait and we have to wait outside. As it was raining and windy outside, we requested her if we can sit in one of the reserved tables for a bit and will move as soon as the people come. She said no, itās too risky we have to wait outside. We waited outside in the cold for more than 20 minutes. There were 2 reserved tables, no one came during the whole wait. Not a single staff came and asked if we are okay or apologised. 30 minutes past, the reserved tables were still vacant. I asked my partner to just go somewhere else but he was too polite to stay and said āletās just give them a chanceā. I had to go and sit inside the car as it was freezing, but my partner still wanted to wait outside. No one came to attend. We had to leave after all. We understand that reserved tables are meant for the people who booked in advance but the staffs should learn basic ways to treat their customers. And how to keep their customers. This was very disrespectful and disappointing. No apologies from the staffs at all. You might think there are not many cafes around so it will get busy anyway but if you keep treating customers like this then i am sorry to say you will lose people really early...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSummary: Skip it. Go to Ramseyās Cafe instead, which is literally 200m across the road as this cafe is more consistent with coffee, fantastic food, quieter and sunny atmosphere.
White Rabbit was good, just average. Coffee is inconsistent as it is sometimes bitter/burnt (Iāve been here 5 times within the past 14 months so my review isnāt based on one occasion). Food options are typical cafe, not much creativity in the menu. The food was good and came out as expected. Prices are decent and you wonāt be surprised. The atmosphere is nice, can be busy (which is neither good nor bad). Iāve been many times but do prefer other cafes in the area.
Edit to respond to owner: I donāt want to give you my email or get a free coffee, so that you can prepare for my visit and make my experience all pristine. I want to know that if I come in on any random occasion, I will have a great and consistent experience, which is what I did not get on the many occasions I have visited (and I rightfully paid for all my inconsistent experiences). Lord knows how you treat your staff if you find it hard to accept any feedback from a paying customer, and you feel the need to remove my very valid experience(s) at your cafe. And Iāve given you a 3/5 stars! Not even 2 or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI stop at White Rabbit once or twice a week on the way to the office to grab my coffee, and they always serve up a delicious mocha just the way I like it ... filled to the top of my Keep Cup, smoothly blended milk just the perfect temperature, tasting equally deliciously of coffee & chocolate and served with a genuine smile !
Thank you to everyone at White Rabbit for the lovely work that you do, I really must sample your brekkie or lunch menu one day.
Love the way you've kept coffee prices down too, most cafe's are a dollar (or more) extra than you charge these days due to rising coffee bean, milk, rent etc costs ... you'll always get an extra gold coin from me in the tip jar if I've got one in my pocket, I really appreciate this gesture and I'm sure it can't be easy running a hospitality business in this current time.
Keep being...
