Atmosphere and Aesthetic: quaint atmosphere - i likely arrived just after the morning rush. And it wasn’t too packed, just a few young families and couples around. I loved the lush decor and aesthetic. Absolutely what I look for in a brekky spot.

Menu selection: Poor - I wanted a smashed avocado, but it’s exclusively available at lunch. This is fine, however there were only 5 menu items for breakfast. And that’s NOT because they’d run out of other options. JUST. FIVE. OPTIONS. Normally, I see that cafes have too much on their menu and it’s too complicated. I appreciate a curated, small menu, however this was purely unimaginative and plain.

Food and Drink: Sub par - I ordered the Bene (Bacon Eggs Benedict) with Hollandaise on the side and medium poached eggs. Looked pretty enough, but not the standard I was expecting. The eggs were undercooked. The focaccia was soggy. The bacon was nice and smokey, though. The hollandaise sauce and side salad were tasty, too. As for the Chocolate Chai - nice enough, although nothing to write home about.

Service: ā€œehā€ - I asked upon entry if I’m allowed to have a seat. First person (the Barista) said that I can (rather dismissively, though). Walked past the second person and asked if I should sit and then order up at the counter. She said they will take my order at the table.

I found my table and awaited water and a menu. Waited a bit under 5 minute to be seen. Waitress (3rd staff member) asked me if I wanted a drink. I told her that I hadn’t yet even seen the menu. She apologised and got one right away. Didn’t bring water to the table.

I perused the limited menu and decided on the Bene and Chocolate Chai. Another waitres (4th staff member) quickly took my order and set me up with cutlery, THEN brought out water. I don’t drink tap water, anyway. But this should come as the patron arrives and is set with a menu.

Finished my meal and sitting here with the finished plate for 20 minutes now. No one has checked on my table to ask me how everything was or if I wanted anything else.

Wow Factor: Lacking - just an over all disappointing experience, that really lacked the greatness I was anticipating with such a recommended venue, that really does hold such great potential.

I had a feeling I should have gone to Red Velvet, instead. But I chose here because of the aesthetic. Shame it was pretty much only the aesthetic that...

Last ate here two weeks ago. Disappointing menu options very limited I eat here on week days not weekends.

I have had great meals at this Cafe but unfortunately also ordering the exact same meal had terrible meals. Sadly this is not a one off. The serving size is shrinking as the cost rises and you are not getting value for money as in the frittas!. The first time I had this earlier this year wow what a delightful combination of flavours and aromas. The serving size was good and filling. Great value. Next time a couple of weeks later horrible, greasy rubbery frittas with side salad that had not had the brown ends of the lettuce cut off, and the leaves that are slimy two of those included! I would not serve that in my home to myself let alone at a cafe. I sent it back and waited again for a hamburger which was just a hamburger. Next time tried something else and again not good. I was there a two weeks ago with a friend and had the frittas again thought I would see how they were. They were good NOT as good as the original ones, but a huge mark up on the rubbery greasy ones. However the serving size was small. I am not a big eater and this was lunch and for me my main meal. My friend had a salad bowl from memory he was not super happy with the meal the dressing was lacking as was the dressing on my side salad. We both felt the price for what we had was poor value.

It is such a shame as its a beautiful location, and the staff when there is enough do a awesome job. I have also found the coffee can be hit or miss which is not good either.

I doubt I would personally choose to go here again. I just do not see the value in the meal size. It is wheel chair accessible. It is family friendly, dog friendly though if your dog is not good around chooks think twice about taking it. The gardens are beautiful, there is very limited shade out doors. Inside is nice but can be extremely noisy being its a tiled conservatory. Depending what day and time you might go parking can be an issue even in the car park behind the town hall especially...

Went here on Easter Monday (public holiday) at 9. Had to be seated outside as they were very busy and seemed to be the only place opened. Was told to go up to order when ready as the waiter was the only one on the floor. Tried that and was apologised to and told to wait at the table instead. Ordered 5 meals and was told kitchen would be faster than drinks. Waited 30 minutes for food which was about what I expected and came before 4 coffees and a juice. juice was forgotten about till asked and drinks were served after almost finishing the meals. I applaud the staff for working so hard during a very big rush. the gentleman waiter on the floor informed us that he didnt work there anymore and was helping out as they were extremely short staffed. My captains breakfast was very good besides the eggs being overcooked for everyone (that's my one star down). Price is quite steep too. paid around $80 for two people. My wonder is why staff wasn't put on when there was a public holiday and a Market on...

A bright, welcoming vault of a cafe with additional outdoor eating areas in the midst of cosy garden spaces. The Breakfast Benny, with poached eggs and delicately seasoned pulled pork, was delightful. And, followed up with an incomparable banoffee pie (long may it reign on the dessert menu), one is sufficiently conditioned for a leisurely Saturday stroll through the equally inviting vaults of those talented artists whose varied and inspired pieces inhabit the many galleries of Cygnet. (I would even add a sixth star for the newest member of staff who, like a Dionysian spirit, roams the perimeter with a refreshingly frank and disarming air as if to assess and ensure the sumptuous quality of each offering brought forth by the cafe's regular - less feathery, but still wonderful - staff.)

Decided to have lunch in Cygnet for my birthday which just happened to coincide with the Australia Day Public Holiday. Of the 3 places we had identified as being open for lunch - only this one was actually open - so many thanks to the staff and management. The food was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful and the location beautiful. There is even an orchard outside with 36 fruit trees laden with fruit and clearly labelled by type.

Amazing!! This place is fantastic, the food is amazing and such lovely surroundings. Great coffee and tea, and the big breakfast is delicious, highkight was the mushrooms in pesto. Ham and cheese croissant was a hit and don’t miss out on the scones and cream either. Lovely outdoor seating area amongst the fruit tree orchard
