What a wonderful surprise to find rhis charming little place right here on the main street . Love the incongruity of eating classic Japanese cuisine accompanied by country music. Hopefully this is captured in the videos . You know a place is good when the shop next door gets their lunch here . The nice fella even delivers it to them. My ramen was very nice indeed with that divine after taste that inky good ramen gives. As you can see by the before and after photos I really enjoyed every last bit of the ramen. While the serving seemed small it was a deceptively filling meal. Shame the place closes at 6.30pm but I guess one could get an early dinner here or perhaps get takeaway. Very satisfying lunch.

Wow talk about delicious value for money! We ordered a number of main meals along with entrees and some sushi rolls. Everything tasted excellent and the meal sizes were perfect. Honestly the best restaurant food in the valley and the prices are so affordable! This is going to be our weekly eatery visit I reckon.

The best dumpling I have ever had in Tasmania. Not those regular prawn gyoza you can simply buy in coles. If you want to try some real homemade dumplings, you wouldn't want to miss this place. What a hidden gem in this lovely town.

My wife and I were in Tasmania for a break and stopped by the Cygnet Japanese Diner for early dinner. Fantastic spot. I had the Spicy Ramen with Karaage Chicken, and it was spot-on—great heat, rich broth, and the chicken was perfectly crispy. My wife went for the Vegetable Tempura Nigiri, and it was a real treat, fresh and full of flavour. The vibe’s cozy and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Remains a great little gem in Cygnet, and we’ll definitely swing by again next time...

I ordered the spicy ramen with chicken karaage. My parents ordered a mixture of sushi and okonomyaki. I was still hungry and wanted to order beef dumplings/gyozas (the main). I was even willing to share and offered to pay. But they said no. 🥲 Maybe in my next life…

*I live in NSW and will probably not visit Tasmania again in a few years or decades

Great soup; egg noodles, delicious sesame broth, fried chicken, nori (dried seaweed), shredded carrot and green onions. If anyone...
