Very rude lady. I ordered three flathead and chips, but when I was putting sauce on, I realized one flathead was missing. I went back to let them know and was going to ask if I could get a small flake instead since it was the same price. Before even listening properly, they started cooking another flathead. By this time, I had already waited 10-12 minutes, and I didn’t want to wait any longer because my child was getting unsettled in the car. When I tried to ask for the flake instead, the lady just kept saying, “No, no!” over and over. At least the man there understood and gave me the flake. Definitely not...

Been calling into this takeaway for sometime as we visit the highlands fortnightly! Called in this afternoon to again be disappointed! Chips have gotten so bad it's sad really! Shriveled up, like they've been cooked two or three times. The potato cakes are the worst I've ever tasted. Soggy, oily, flourly and tasteless! They'd nearly have to be over cooked when first battered, then just allowed to soak in fat the second time! I'd suggest a different process as it's clearly not working. Bain maree isn't hot enough and any other food is luke warm or dry! Locals and passing traffic deserve better...

On holidays around New Norfolk Tasmania and while crossing the river spotted this RED fast food takeway shop called Eagles Nest. Hunger took over so in I went and being a truck driver have eaten from hot boxes with a coffee a few times before. Grab battered fish & chips from Tania a wiz behind the fryer and Blair at the front serving, who was polite and helpfull (hard to find nowerdsy in the workforce)The fish was spot on as most of us have come across more batter then fish before and chips golden brown.
