If it was possible to give 6 stars, I would in a heartbeat! What Emma, Mark and their team are providing Queenstown and have been doing so for a few years now, is something very very special. It's not just a fabulous place to have a bite to eat or a quiet drink, it's a wonderful centrepiece for the community and town, that provides a supreme meeting hub and these guys have got the balance working very well. Not only has it a small but sharply changing menu that is tasty, value for money and executed so well every time you visit, but Moonscape has a great range of predominantly Tasmanian beers on tap and in the fridge, local wines, spirits and such delicious cocktails, that makes choosing both very easy and difficult at the same time. The atmosphere is always inviting and lovely, in a shared space where locals and tourists interact and feed off the friendly vibe and warm service from the staff, to enjoy that pleasant , non pretentious venue and to just enjoy being present in the moment. A great sunny courtyard down the adjacent alleyway with a stunning newly added wall mural, makes it the perfect setting for any lazy afternoon or evening get togethers. A fantastic local business run by a team that take hospitality seriously and make it fun and pleasure to be included in and served by. A business that locals should feel very proud of in their town. I can't wait for...
Read moreLovely impromptu experience on cool overcast day; sat indoors but also street front and lovely outdoor space at rear: I am sorry not to have read reviews prior to visit as I would have ordered cheeseboard or ploughman’s lunch for finicky eater partner; cappuccino, sweet potato dippers, soup of the day(Italian bean); all lovely quality; freshly prepared and cooked in venue that has very clean and fresh presentation with welcoming and attentive service. Whilst menu may be limited in some diner’s view; and wine bar branding may not appeal to all; try something different; you won’t be disappointed. All the best for your success Moonscape, adding to a special West Coast experience for visitors and locals. Extra tip: look for photo of aging rockers Rod and Elton it...

We pulled up across from this Boutique Bar, but didn't think it was quite what we sought. We went off to find something else, most were closed or it was past lunch hours. So back we went. So glad we did. We ordered a shared platter & thoroughly enjoyed the platter, our drink, the service, atmosphere & our time there. The next day we headed to Strahan to try our luck for a nice lunch time meal there instead - no luck, so we drove back to Queenstown, back to the Moonscape & did it all again. Still loved it - thank you for being open, the service, the food & the...
