I recently had the pleasure of dining at McDonald's in Temora, and I must say it was an enjoyable experience from start to finish. McDonald's has always been a go-to fast-food restaurant for me, and this particular location exceeded my expectations in several aspects.

Where to begin. Funny how time has changed a simple trip to McDonalds to treat your grandchildren to lunch. No staff member, I mean NO staff member makes eye contact with you, because if they do they will have to do something for you. The machines you Must order from were just filthy, disgracefully maintained, as was the bathroom!! We placed our order after trying to negotiate the process & holding up other patrons, no reciept was given. We had to approach the front desk, all staff are standing with their backs to the dining room, so you must raise your voice to get someone's attention. We advised that no recipe was given & couldn't get our order number, this was quickly fixed, we were given an order number but no receipt. 27 minutes later our food & drink was ready, well sort of! The fries & burgers were cold, I mean ICE cold. We took them back, asked for fresh food that was hot, again had to shout to get attention of staff. 20 minutes later we got our food, still not the best but after 50 minutes of waiting we felt it wasn't worth the trouble! No soft serve icecream was available which was disappointing for our grandchildren, not to mention the excuse that they sold out!!!! I must note that the manager we Identified was running food to the many cars parked waiting for their orders. Fast food it wasn't, & yes we have started the process of refund as the experience was just appalling. Good points were the Air Con worked. Tables, floors, bathroom, ordering boards etc were all disgracefully dirty. To add insult to injury when we contacted McDonalds for a refund they asked for a receipt! None was given, this was explained but fell on deaf ears. What should have been a 10 - 15 minute lunch was an hour and no where near what I would expect from this franchise, time to lift your game, train staff & clean properly or you will lose customers, we will not be visiting...

Very Disappointed – No Vegetarian Options Despite Website Claims

I’m genuinely disappointed with my recent experience at McDonald’s. I checked their official website beforehand and saw that they offer vegetarian options, so I made the trip from West Wyalong — which is about 70 km away — expecting to actually find something I could eat.

But when I arrived, I was told they don’t have any vegetarian items available at all. Why advertise it online if the store can’t serve it? It feels misleading and honestly like a waste of my time and effort. For vegetarians like me, consistency and honesty are really important, especially when you’re making a long trip based on the information provided.

McDonald’s needs to either update their online menu to reflect what’s actually available at each location, or ensure all locations are equipped to offer what’s being advertised. This experience made me feel like vegetarian customers just aren’t considered seriously. Really...
