Chop N Grind — Restaurant in Terrigal

Quite average but a bit above the cut.

Ordering the single grind with no tomato, chips and drink I was met with a very reasonable price which is nice to see. Service was quite good, friendly, good mannerisms. The food was where they lost me, I wasn't dissatisfied or disappointed let me explain that first, good portions, great presentation.

However, the onion rings that came on top of the burger were quite bland, it was mostly batter and oil rather then onion rings which was disappointing. Once those were done I took place onto the chips just a little bit before the burger, again met with slight disappointed, not much crunch, on the overall chips, would have been nice with crunchy outside met with that soft inside, almost felt like I was eating slightly well done potato. After a few chips I worked my way on to the main, happy with the size and consistency of ingredients, well built, nice presentation, first bite, boom smacked with sauce and slight flavour of ingredients, the meat was a little dry as well which I found quite difficult to digest by the end. Overall though bits throughout the burger I found the jalapenos which were nice juicy with a beautiful crunch.

Overall Service 8/10 Price 9/10 Food 6/10

There meat burgers looked good and were clearly very popular as people were lined up to get them... My review is strictly for their veggie burger, which can be REALLY good at meaty restaurants but not at this one.

As I was waiting for my order I decided to jump on and read reviews and came across a veggie burger review (which was terrible) - told myself to hold out hope and make my own decision... and so I have.

Oh boy was I in for a surprise, the burger was terrible! The previous reviewer had described it as an omelette with a few chickpeas... while it looked like that to a T, it was actually biscuit batter with a few chickpeas... yuck!

The double fried feta described in the menu was nowhere to be found and the "salsa" was more like tomato sauce. BIG disappointment for $13.50. Not to mention after cutting open my mess of a "veggie" burger, I found my biscuit patty raw and still doughy (think savory pancake batter).

Couldn't finish it and didn't want to wait in line for another disappointing "veggie burger."

With the several beef option it would be wise to really nail your one and only veggie...

Yummy burgers and great coffee, full of depth and flavour.

We ate here yesterday, a busy sunny Sunday in Terrigal.

I ordered the Aussie Chop burger, which the manager kindly suggested, when I was deliberating whether I could eat it all, that I could have as a wrap, what a great idea! Super yummy and I ate the whole lot! My partner had a chicken burger which he enjoyed and we shared a small chips. Left full and happy.

The main reason for my review however, is to commend the fantastic customer service from the manager, we almost walked past but she was so attentive and lovely we sat down at a table. I forgot to ask for her name but if you are reading this hopefully you remember me as I thanked you for your fantastic service. You mentioned the owners were away in Sydney, so if they get to read this, your manager did a stupendous job!!...
