Bellyfish Cafe — Restaurant in Terrigal

Beautiful cafe restaurant located right on the beach at Terrigal. We had a great experience here sitting with the cool calm breeze and the beautiful views of the beach. All Day breakfast and brunch menu has huge variety and lots of vegetarian options also.

The service here is above and beyond so friendly and welcoming and happy to help with anything. They're amazing.

The food is very delicious and fresh and the serving sizes are very generous for reasonable prices.

The roast tomato for breakfast was so uniquely and deliciously seasoned and cooked. Was definitely a standout for me. The hash brown was crispy and delicious and golden brown. The mushroom was perfectly salted and cooked and was a delicious addition to the vegetarian breakfast plate.

The lemon meringue pancakes were a delight! Soft and fluffy pancakes with refreshing and visually stunning toppings as well.

The Good Morning maple iced coffee drink was simply incredible! I'm definitely obsessed with it after trying it once and now I want it all the time. So delicious and refreshing and such a unique flavour that most places don't have.

The haloumi slices were cooked to perfection and really soft and yummy.

My companions loved the Salt and Pepper Squid dish. A tasty delicious fried dish reminiscent of fish and chips but elevated with beautiful flavours and presentation.

The drinks were all delicious and yummy and refreshing. Great coffees! Great juices!

The seating is spacious and comfortable and there's plenty of spaces to sit indoors (with an open layout to still see the beach and experience the breeze) or outdoors.

I can't fault this place for a single thing. We loved our time here for breakfast and coffee. Definitely...

REPLY TO OWNER! FOR THE SECOND TIME! More lies! You sure feel comfortable lying don’t you? Your first reply you lied and said you didn’t close early and then upon checking you’re now admitting you did close early but lying about when you took food orders till. You said you would take coffee orders at 1:15 but no food orders so you are yet again lying. Basically you’re now trying to imply that I lied and made up this story because I only ever really leave reviews when I have a really bad experience. The fact that you’re then implying that means you didn’t close early even though you’re admitting you did is genuinely baffling especially because you’ve already admitted you’ve lied but I’m the untrustworthy one. You are such an unprofessional !!?The fact you are actively trying to call me a lier even though you’ve had to already admitted that you did lie and you did close early that day after you replied lying saying you didn’t!! is so unbelievably unprofessional ! I genuinely hope people read this and decide that you are a terrible person and not to go to your restaurant. The fact that you felt comfortable lying about when you closed that day is astounding!!! Spent around an hour trying to decide where to eat only to be told that they were closing 45 minutes early and I couldn’t even order. Reply to owner yes you are supposed to close at 2. I was there at 1:15 on Friday the 13th of June 2025 and you refused to serve me. And I’m sure you could’ve checked when you closed on Friday before lying in your reply.! I specifically said you closed 45 minutes early meaning 45 minutes earlier than you say you close meaning 1.15 this is probably the most disingenuous reply...

We drove back in the rain and cold weather for the second time this week to experience the delish all day Brekky The GOAT smashed avo (add mushrooms) on sour dough was honestly one of the best meals I’ve eaten in a really long time so I ordered it both times 🤤 My partner had eggs bene with bacon and the fresh fruit with coconut yoghurt Thursday and then pork belly eggs bene today with the fruit and yoghurt again, and both times did not disappoint The fruit is so so so fresh and juicy and the yoghurt is sweet and creamy and they go so well together - light and fresh! 💖 Also a puppy friendly place too! Our hungry staffy enjoyed a yummy plate of ham and a pup-a-cino with us 👌

It can be so frustrating going out for a meal and the food quality (and quantity) not matching the money output but at BellyFish that is not the case. This would totally be our local if we didn’t live in brissy Highly recommend-The vibes are really nice and the staff are all super friendly and happy to assist anyway they can. Smiles all round plus not only was the food delish, you can tell the chefs love their jobs as well.
