Had breakfast there one weekday morning. Easy order of scrambled eggs ,toasted turkish bread and latte. The photo makes it look delicious, that is called filters. The eggs were rubbery and cold, with no seasoning, I had to use nearly the whole packet salt to make it have some taste. The toasted turkish bread was cold, hard to cut with the butter knife as the base of the toast burnt. And the coffee, harsh tasting even with flavouring it was so bitter. All over the best part of the experience was the lovely barista girl, with a friendly smile and was very helpful, shame she isn't there now as the above star is for her. Shall not be going back there for food or coffee anytime soon.

Okay so you get a fantastic beachside location and view , but come on guys this is Terrigal not St Tropez or Bondi. $6.50 for. Chai Latte, the owner must be laughing all the way to the bank. You are not alone in the Central Coat for ripping everyone off, why do you all think prices here should be 20% more than a global city such as Sydney A last point , that very expensive chai latte came in a paper cup that I had to collect myself from the counter, zero services , 100% overcharge Oh and it took about 15 minutes to arrive Try somewhere else in Terrigal, there are many other options

Nice view but the worst coffee. Nice location overlooking Terrigal Beach. Coffee however is unfortunately horrendous to say the least. $1 difference between small and Large. $5.50 for takeaway cup without a lid!! Service for just a coffee was really slow as well. Sorry but I give this only 1 star ⭐️. Lots of other coffee places just a few steps from there.

Ok so I have been here many times over the years, alone, with my wife and with other couples etc. Choice today was due to past experience and closing time. Options for a coffee were reducing fast. Well what a shock I received today.

Looking on Google it says closing time is 4pm. So it is 2:50pm and I rock up to order and instead I am told that they are closed. We close at 3:00pm. I said that I thought they closed at 4:00pm and I was told it had changed.

So as it was not 3:00pm I said well I only want a takeaway coffee and was told the machine was cleaned and I couldn’t have a coffee. The apology was just the usual sorry. Really??? I said I came here especially here for a coffee. No go

So I walk away and think I am sure it was 4pm. I look at my phone : yes 4:00pm.

I returned to show the lass that I spoke to when attempting to order. She looks at it and says that they updated their whatever (probably website). I said this says 4:00pm and ppl are going to look at this like I did. I said I don’t know who changes this tho.

She didn’t get it. I had to tell her that I was trying to help her but I am not sure that it sunk in.

If you ran or was the front line of a business (taking orders etc) wouldn’t you think - damn we better get that fixed. Nah not here.

So I left for the second time and thought why did I waste my time trying to help them.

Never again will I go back there.

No thank you. No understanding. Just a disappointment. I guess I’m not a local...

Besides the fact that I use to love coming here. Saw this on Facebook. So sharing it will ALL my central coast friends and on travelling site that I am in. So disappointing. "Had the most horrendous morning, my 84 year old father wanted to come to Terrigal Beach and have coffee while we walked Jacques and when we returned the owner of the Terrigal Surf Cafe came out and screamed abuse at us for leaving him there as its bad for business, he is too old to be left alone and they are not a respite centre plus he doesn't appreciate an old man sitting there with a concentrator for breathing. How unbelievable my dad loved going there, requested to come with us so he would have breakfast and a couple of coffees as his social morning. He met friends there. We actually tried to encourage him not to go there as we saw the owner muffle at him to "F off" on another occasion although just wrote that off he was having a bad day. We have spent many dollars $$$$ there and never would have expected to be told never go there again. Wow the elderly are treated very poorly. So being old you should stay home. I am stunned my dad is...

Hard to walk past this place due to the location and the fact that it’s busy. Usually busy means good however, this time we realized that is not always the case. Firstly, our order was taken by quite a rude male individual who spoke very abruptly, and in quite a dismissive manner. The items we ordered, took an overly excessive time. When we inquired about the wait, we were notified the buzzers weren’t working, and our food was left under the heat lamps for quite a long time. Then the struggle to get our drinks, which were forgotten and were only two juices and a hot chocolate.

Based on my experience today and past reviews, there is evidently a staffing/customer service issue here. Staff seem to lack basic customer, service skills and there is an attitude by staff and an expectation of customers to just take it based on the prime location.

Is the amazing location worth the service and average food? I’d say no, get your take away fish and chips somewhere else and head to the beach...
