(UPDATE: owner replied very convincingly with solutions after taking this all on board so Iāve adjusted my review to reflect my rating of juice junkie at their full potential)
This place has an amazing product but there are several flaws that have frustrated me:
-Constantly running out of ingredients particularly banana and blue Spirulina. I personally love the wave smoothie and these are key items in my smoothie. When I first had the wave smoothie here it blew my mind and the girl explained the powerful benefits of blue spirulina to me as I was not aware of it (it being a superfood and rich antioxidant) and I now believe its one of the most important ingredients in this smoothie. Iāve had other people that work here downplay it when theyāre out of stock and say āit just changes the colourā which is a very incorrect and unfair thing to say to a customer. The key point here is you can not advertise an item on your menu including specific ingredients and then think itās ok to be out of stock of those items constantly and still charge full price for an incomplete product. Firstly fix the logistics and ensure there is always more rather than less, stop making false statements to customers about it ājust changing the colourā. Discount the item or substitute ingredients at buyersā discretion to offer a reasonable solution.
-Their presence on google has been unclear at times with direct store phone number for pre orders for example, the opening times have been unclear at times, the actual store locations have been unclear etc (unsure if this is resolved now but had multiple issues with these things in the past).
I am a very big fan of juice junkie and their products, I am just so frustrated and had to share the feedback after being disappointed so many times. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously in full and that these things will be fixed as I would love to return as a happy regular customer in the future. I am a local trying to support a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNormally top notch, I always get the wave bowl. Occasionally they have run out of blue spirulina, despite the owner having assured me it wouldn't happen again at a previous visit, I usually bring my own supply of blue Spirulina in as I just really like the wave bowl.
It was very disappointing today though Sunday 15/10/23, While I understand they had just opened the 1 girl who was on seemed a bit flustered,
At the time of purchase and payment I wasn't told there was no blue spirulina.
So when it came out not blue, which has happened before, I communicated that it would have been appreciated if I was told before hand. She seemed really unsure of what to do, I didn't want to make it an issue for her as she didn't seem to get these reactions very often. Usually if this was the case atleast the bowl was still top notch regardless.
But for a mango based smoothie bowl, I don't believe any mango was actually used as it was nearly liquid and was extremely strong tasting of pineapple.
It was only about 75-80% full compared to normal. It had half the banana it usually would, While the strawberry was physically cut it wasn't cut apart so it was essentially 1 full strawberry with slice marks, No chia, I'm pretty sure no honey,
There was a acceptable and normal amount of Granola though..
It definetly wasn't a smoothie, More of a pineapple slushie.
Hopefully this isn't my experience again in the future as 90% of the time things are great and good communication is available, and the product is made...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI purchased a small size $9.90 juice on ANZAC day. The staff member charged me $14.17. (43.1% surcharge). Seeing the shock on my face, she advised that this is the Public Holiday Surcharge.
While there is no legislation for surcharges for hospitality in NSW, businesses are only permitted to apply a surcharge, provided they comply with the Australian Consumer Law by clearly and prominently disclosing the surcharge to customers before purchase. There was no sign or discussion from the staff to advise that there would be a 43% surcharge. The staff member couldn't even tell me the percentage of the surcharge (this is not a reflection on the young staff, but a reflection of the owners).
Furthermore, majority of hospitality venues in NSW apply surcharges ranging from 10% to 15% on public holidays. This excessive surcharge of 43% without clear justification has lead to customer dissatisfaction from myself, my friends and the other customers who purchased drinks after me (and spoke about their experience). This may now cause repetitional damage for your company.
I am always happy to pay a fair surcharge on Public Holidays to support the wage increase, but this excessive surcharge will certainly leave a bad taste in the mouths of your customers today. Please consider that we are trying to support small businesses and the lack of transparency & reasonableness has made us reconsider our...
