Spice Noodle Bar & Takeaway — Restaurant in Terrigal

I feel bad leaving a bad review because the guys seemed so nice... I would otherwise give it a 1 star. It was the second time we tried his food. The first time it was "meh could've chosen something else" impression. But we love Thai and decided to give it another go. This time, chilly and basil dish was OK, though far from the best. But flat rice noodles in peanut sauce was a disgrace: completely tasteless, with no spices, nothing apart from a bunch of peanut butter mixed in (and even then not very evenly) to the noodles and some chicken. Not even salt! Not sure what happened there... Just a pinch of salt would've made the contents of that container edible. It was so empty, tasteless and even bizarre, we ended up ditching almost all of it into the rubbish bin. We even had a theory that something else happened and he stopped making the dish half way through and forgot to add the rest of the gredients... It's this dish that motivated me to leave a review and let others know: whatever you do, don't get the peanut source dish here! 😕 Another thing to note is that take away portions are TINY! Literally the smallest take away container I've ever seen. You'd never guess it's a whole takeaway dish in there. I have no idea how some of the other reviewers found it to be one of the best Thai... Just one family's experience...

The older gentleman in there (I think it's the owner) has terrible customer service. Was served a dish that wasn't mine and when I told them, I was told in the rudest manner that was I was wrong.

If you're looking for good thai in terrigal go to Thaiger Temple, it's much better. The food is delicious and they actually have...

We can’t thank Moss & the team at Spice Noodle Bar enough! They went above and beyond to tailor meals for my daughter, who needed something soft and easy to eat after a recent jaw surgery. The care, kindness, and attention to detail were incredible, they didn’t just make delicious food, they genuinely cared about making sure she could still enjoy a proper meal.

Everything was fresh & full of flavour. It’s rare to find a restaurant that’s not only amazing with food but also so compassionate and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble.
