If I could give MINUS 5 STAR, that's what I would have gone for. The shop is extremely small for the customer traffic. The young girl at the counter is so slow in taking orders and misses orders. My wife and I ordered 1teh tarik, 1hot milo, 1rava thosai & 1roti canai. It took them 25minutes to deliver my teh tarik and missed the Milo order. The roti canai came 35minutes later. The chicken curry is pretty much filled with coconut milk. Milo pretty much did not come. My thosai came an hour after, burnt and tasted like cardboard. Payment using card comes with surcharges. Food is not that great and definitely not worth the wait or the price hands down. The messed up part is you need to pay right after you order which makes it completely impossible to leave if you are starving and need to get to another place in a hurry. You call this a Malaysian restaurant but delivering the drinks that late is unacceptable. Food maybe to a certain extent is acceptable with what ever the excuse is but man definitely not worth the penny and time. Would not recommend this. Might as well eat in Spencer Village. Got the Milo in a takeaway cup after waiting 70minutes in the shop. Disaster!

If you are looking for an authentic Malaysian experience, please visit this cosy little spot at Spencer Village. The vadai gets sold out by 10am!!! The roti canai gets sold out by 2pm!! I have yet to try these two. However, I have tried the rice with vegetables, dhal, fried mackerel, tofu and egg and mutton. It was awesome. Teh tarik is a must have!! Great hospitality and very welcoming. Patrons seen to have very close bond with this place. I am beginning to think that this is going to be a start of a love story. Highly recommended for Malaysian food lovers!

Managed to finally get the crispy roti canai in this cafe. So yummy! The curries were flavourful and well balanced. The lentils were a little bland. Lacked salt. But the fish and chicken curries were beautiful. The roti canais were crispy and cooked to perfection 🥰

3 Aug 24 Managed to try the vadai and yummy roti canai. So crispy and light. Only the sambar needed a little bit of flavour. The fish curry was amazing though. Still amazing.

11 Aug 2024 Amazing vadai, roti canai, vegetables, and rawa thosai. Noticed some improvements in the sambar. Now it tastes good. Thank you Rasa Sayang. Sayang...

This is a small cafe (Kedai) selling Malaysian food. It is very authentic and the aroma is so very reminiscence of food shops of Malaysia. The only complaint I have and always had is this new server there kept pushing you to decide what you wanted to eat from the glass servery. She was very pushy. A customer has to see the curries etc to decide and not select something because of the pushyness from the server. Example, if a small serve of Biryani or plain rice was requested, by the time your plate was filled you ended up with a large meal instead of a small one. So be forewarned. The Biryani was Malaysian style minus the meat. One had to choose what curry you wanted with it. Unlike the Indian Biryani where rice and meat was cooked together. There were many other Indian snacks, like vadai and Malaysian Meehoon as well. I like the food very much. Price wise it depends on small or big serve. But I don't think it will cost more than $15. I was treated to lunch here so can only guess from past experience. I am not sure if the vadai was only sold on weekends as part of breakfast. Pays to check. Overall, an enjoyable meal. There are some outside...

First time I've encountered such an arrogant lady. When I asked if the mee goreng or bee hoon goreng was spicy, her reply was simply "standard." I asked what she meant by "standard," and she responded, "It's not the Chinese style, it's standard." I then asked if it had chilli, and her answer was, "It's our own way of cooking." I just wanted to know if it's spicy/🌶, but it offended her more when I asked. After paying, she even told us not to ask when the food would be ready. I was taken aback—wow! Encountering rudeness when ordering food has left us with a sour impression. This was my first breakfast outing with my girlfriend, and I rarely go out for breakfast, so to be spoken to so rudely was not the morning I had hoped for. Despite the experience, we ordered the bee hoon goreng anyway. It turned out to be on the wetter side (no sauce), not the dry type of bee hoon, with only mild chilli. I wouldn't recommend it, but the mee goreng, on the other hand, is worth trying.
