I understand that due to covid restrictions we need to follow certain precautions but when you arrive at this venue and let them know straight away that you only want coffee outside you'd think it would then make sense to either ask us to sign in or for ID for proof of address and have us take our seat outside, but no, this venue has us stand inside at the desk attempting to scan a code that doesn't work on my phone and so taking another several minutes to get my friend to do both mine and hers on her phone ( I ask if I can show ID instead but he says no) we are then asked to stand infront of a screen where our images are on camera ( which feels very uncomfortable) and have our temperature scanned by the screen. By now I'm wishing we never set foot in the place. So after many minutes going through the scanning process' we are finally able to go out side and order our coffees ( the time spent indoors going through all this created far more contact time, plus touching the door coming in and out, than would have ever come about had he just seated us to start with and taken our order), and then after all this extra contact time that has been created by beachouse and making us uncomfortable, we then need to go back inside to pay! ( More time in the venue). Seriously, greet at the door, take ID for address proof, seat patrons and take order, then use a portable paywave for us to pay, if that had been the case we wouldn't have even touched the door or counter or been in an enclosed space with the staff member while he ran through the instructions for the code and screen and temperature reading. Won't...
Read moreMy sister and I both ordered the beef burger. They arrived to our tables within 10/15 minutes of ordering. Almost too fast. I took a bite and immediately noticed the meat was cold and mushy. I looked down at it and noticed the entire burger was red raw. Even the outside. I checked both patties and they were both raw. Almost like they had melted the cheese onto them before evening checking whether they were cooked. I politely asked the waiter if I could receive a replacement burger. While waiting, my sister also noticed one of her two burger patties was also very raw and she left it on her plate. When they brought my replacement burger, I checked it before eating and noticed that it was still uncooked. I ate the edges (which wasn’t much). There is a picture attached of what it looked like. My sisters also looked like this. The fries were okayish. It seems the chef was either inexperienced or careless. We were offered a refund, however I wanted to make this known to potential customers of this place for safety reasons. It is the day after I ordered from this place and both my sister and I have been experiencing horrible stomach cramps and food poisoning. It’s very dangerous and I think people should...
Read moreI wish I didn’t have to make this review, but just had my first “I shouldn’t have to pay for this meal” moment.
Everything going fine until we checked how far off our entrees were - some aranchini and oysters - given it had been 45mins. Turns out the docket hadn’t printed. All good, tech issues happen. Oysters and aranchini were great. Offered a free round of drinks.
Then my “2+ Marble score” steak finally arrived, with sides and sauces mixed up with my friends, which I can’t have (red wine jus = no alcohol). Had to swap sides around from each others plate, rather than wait for another 30-40mins for a steak to cook. For $52 I don’t expect a steak to have so much gristle that I literally couldn’t cut through parts of it.
The “manager” apparently spoke with the chef, then me. I was told the chef “couldn’t remove all the gristle”. Uh, exactly. Why am I being charged $52 for a steak of that quality when it’s being advertised as 2+ Marble score?
The conclusion? “Sorry.” My 3/5 experience dropped to 1 star pretty damn fast after that. If you do choose to go here, definitely do NOT buy the steak - horrendously overpriced...
