A visit to Victoria wouldn't be the same without a cruise down the GO road to breath in some salty air and to soak up coastal vibes My Sis insisted we stop off in Barwon Heads, grab a coffee, and try a "Squishy".. "A friggin what" was my reply... "You'll see" she said hahaha. It was about 930am and the Starfish was absolutely pumping. Locals and visitors alike queued down the street waiting to put in takeaway orders or too be lucky enough to find a table.... and now I know why. The coffees were on point and the alleged "Squishy" (which turned out to be the most perfectly cooked runny fried egg, bacon and mayo and the softest bread roll ever) was equal to the hype. They even prepared a GF version for my amazing wife who is Coeliac. Can't wait to return!!! Note: this place gets super busy, so one must be a little patient if you want to enjoy it's offerings

Lately I’ve been rating almond croissants from every cafe and bakery I visit, and since I happened to be in Barwon Heads, I Googled a few local spots and found this one. Turns out they didn’t have almond croissants 😂 but they did have a plain croissant with butter and jam (my favourite combo), so I went for that instead. The croissant was surprisingly good – buttery, soft, fluffy, and nicely layered. The weekday vibe here was great too – a bit busy but still somehow relaxing. Later I found out they’re actually known for their muffins, so I’ll definitely be back to try those next time.

Another I have been wanting to visit A colleague of me recommended this place and we decided to bring our friends all the way from Sydney to try with us Super friendly staff ❤️❤️❤️ Great selection of menu And the name! We got squishy! The egg yolk was still runny! YUM The muffin is just how I like! Crispy top DOUBLE YUM The ham and cheese croissant, not normal croissants cut in half but a real ham and cheese croissant!!! I don’t even normally eat fruit toast but I ate theirs. Very orangey 🧡 Definitely coming back for more!! #bulgogi_n_rendang

Good old fashioned home cooked style food always guaranteed here along with a huge variety of healthy food options. Guaranteed good coffee. Saturdays & Sundays the chef has beautiful sourdough and the biggest & yummiest wholemeal rolls ever. The best white chocolate & Raspberry muffin we have ever had made with healthier option ingredients. This little cafe/bakery deserves 5* for it's food, staff & buzzing atmosphere. Enjoyed their famous squishy roll today (egg & bacon with housemade relish). The outdoor tables & chairs add to the relaxed cafe dining experience. A must visit for everyone local and visitors of the Bellarine Peninsula. My daughter and I are becoming weekend...
