Birch&Perch Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Victoria

I’d been meaning to get here for literally years. A friend recently told me whenever her mum comes up from Melbourne she goes each day for the cakes. Well I can confirm they are the best and freshest cakes and slices anywhere. Today I had the freshest sandwhich and a magnificent pie. Coffee is worth stopping for too. No idea why the bakery is so busy with this gem almost next door. This is a cute cafe with small gift shop. I stopped in 28 July 2018 on my way east just to grab a coffee. It turned out to be a great coffee - as good or better than most I get in Melbourne.

On the way home I stopped in to grab another coffee ... and also got one of their ready to go baked savouries. It looked like a sausage roll, but was veggies with a little curry flavour. So yummy! I'm not sure how much food they serve, but this is a fantastic option for a quick stop when you're travelling through...

Beware A lot of these coments are made by locals friends of the shop owner there not passing through. A long time customer i brought a caramel macadamia chesecake i asked if it was baked she said yes it was not the caramel wasn't melted property it was just raw sugar the whole thing was sweet it was made cheap it was disgusting.
