Like all establishments it depends on who serves you or on a bad day who puts up with you inconveniencing them? Or at least that's how you feel as a customer sometimes? We've come several times & most times it's edible, my Client enjoys the outing & the prices are good - soooo overall a winner - all things considered? The food can be hit & miss at times. The location can't be faulted, usually clean & tidy while generally always someone in there so good signs for a small town business. Give it a go, you may be surprised 👌 Loved the Sponge tonight 💕

Ideal refreshment stopping off point between Melbourne & Lakes Entrance (& vice versa). Traditional milk bar with freshly made take-away menu & some pre-made sandwiches. Also, has a good selection of lollies & cold drinks. Seating is available, both inside & outside the store. Burgers & toasted sandwiches are our usual fare - made to order. A refreshing cuppa or coffee rounds out our mid-morning break. If time is an issue you can phone your order & it will be ready-to-go.

Travelling through. Beside Rosedale off-street parking and public toilets. Traditional Milk Bar/ Cafe immaculately clean and well presented. Had Passionfruit Sponge, neinish tart and 2 caramel malted. Fresh, tasty and generous. Recommend. Well Done ladies.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. If I could give no stars I would. Went there recently for dinner. Got a piece of flake , min chips, 2 potato cakes and 2 dim sims. The Chips were not even edible because of the amount of salt on them. Could barely brush enough salt off to make them edible, plus the chips looked like they were all from the bottom of the bag, they were tiny. Potato cakes were undercooked. Dim sims were ok, just. Flake was nice but very small, especially for the price you pay. It cost over $20, and you could barely eat any of it. It was only 6pm, mid week and the shop was empty so expected better. The staff member was not very welcoming either. We have had fish n chips here many times over the years and it has often been hit and miss but we hadn’t been there for bit so thought it would be an easy dinner. But never again. You are better off buying frozen chips from the supermarket across the road. The only take away in Rosedale and this is what you get. ...

I called at 6:45pm last Saturday night to order fish and chips. Said I'd be about half an hour away, no problem.

7:20pm we arrive, and the shop was closed. The only staff member there said they didn't have our order, and no one answered when I called.

I was prepared to be quite disappointed when I arrived at my friend's house, knowing that they had also ordered fish and chips- however one order was undercooked with raw potato cakes and the other was burnt- my friends suggested I'd actually dodged a bullet by my order not being completed, at least I hadn't wasted my money!

Also, what kind of take away shop closes before 7:30 on a...

Today I walk in to get food from the local milk bar and was quite shocked. My chips were yes pretty good but the customer service was absolutely horrible. When apon asking the lady serving me how much are some chocolates she told me and then asked how much. I mmm and ahhhed about how much when she snapped back again how much. I was shocked. Then a lovley man and his daughter came in and was very lovley to one of the ladies smilling and saying "how you going" and the lady looked at him blankly and said what would you like. Very rude. Never again I advise...
