Cafe 56 — Restaurant in Victoria

We stopped at Euroa for lunch to break up our Melbourne to Canberra drive. We ordered the spring rolls, which are served with a small salad and lettuce leaves so you can wrap each spring roll up in the lettuce with the salad. It was absolutely delicious. We couldn’t go past a cake and coffee either, which were equally delicious. Atmosphere was relaxed and lovely and service was great. We arrived for breakfast at 10.45 to be told the breakfast was stopped at 10.45 we drove knowing breakfast was served untill 11am. We were then advised we couldn’t order lunch until 11am…. Food in display case - especially the cakes looked delicious. Pity when we walked in at 7 minutes to 2pm today we were told quite abruptly that the kitchen was closed with no attempt to even offer us a simpler alternative. Considering they advertised lunch until 2pm it was pretty disappointing as the place looked lovely & others dining in were still being delivered delicious looking hot food.
