Mely & Me. — Restaurant in Victoria

Local customer dining in for 3+ years. Mely & me has always been our go-to spot in town for brunch/lunch, best shop on the Main Street in our opinion. However, it’s recently changed owners and while the staff is the same (and we love their service!! 💎🫶🏼) the menu has changed a lot and it seems pricier than what it used to be, leaving you a bit hungrier as well. Add chips is $6 and they come in a bowl half the size of what it used to be. The side salad had so much salt and vinaigrette, and it was so sour that my partner couldn’t finish it. I had the broccoli pasta which was good, with a green juice. My partner just had the complimentary water and we spent $57. We spotted other people having the wagyu cheeseburger which size-wise didn’t look like a $22 burger, but am sure it must be tasty. No more sweet potato fries which were the bomb 💣💔

Pastries looked beautiful and we had a brownie with some flaky salt on top which was great.

Might just be that the previous owners left too big shoes to fill, and it might take a bit for everyone to find their pace in the new setting; but strictly talking about the food, nothing was jumping out of the menu for us, and the prices seemed a bit high. My Partner and I went through Euroa today and had lunch at Mely & Me. It was a super rainy and cold day and the Cafe was super busy and cozy. My Partner had a Coffee,and the Waygu Burger with Chips & I had the Sunrise Juice & the homemade pasta.

The burger was really scrumptious and not overloaded with ingredients you don’t need its about the waygu beef, the bun is home made too, which means you can’t have it any fresher! The chips were perfect, not too salty not overloaded, nice and crunchy! Home made pasta, absolutely delicious with the right amount of cheese! You may think the portion looks small, but it fills you up pretty quick and considering again fresh made & fresh ingredients the price for both meals was good value!

The fresh Juice was literally a vitamin and energy boost. Not overloaded with ice! The right sweetness and tanginess thats how i love it.

Service was great and super friendly and we got served really quick, too.

Quite upset really. Terrible attitude from the lady at POS. We came in due to the reviews, ordered take away and was asked to take a bench seat which was fine. I sat down after looking for a bench seat but shortly afterwords was advised by same.lady that the seat I took was for customers. I said ," you asked me to take a bench seat. She said no, I asked you to take a bench seat outside ". I explained, no you didn't, she said , yes I did ". I was really upset that the lady ( had an accent) would be prepared to be argumentative with me. I am in sales so I have good senses for good skills in friendliness and this lady had none of these skills.
