Cafe Bazarre — Restaurant in Victoria

I’ve been a regular at this restaurant for several years. What I love about it, apart from the incredible prices & cheapest coffee is the spacious cozy & quiet atmosphere, wonderful & friendly staff, prompt service, & that it’s easy to find nearby two hour free parking. The pizzas are great, they make their own bases, great burgers, toasties, sandwiches, bacon & egg rolls, pasta dishes, chips & homemade sweets & cakes. There’s pancakes & an ample variety of ice cream flavours for the children. And the new Thai dishes introduced are marvellous! Including Thai chicken salads Thai chicken curry, Thai pumpkin soup & my very favourite, the Thai chicken & vegetable soup with croutons, loaded with ample ingredients at only $10.90. There is a great Indian breakfast dish also. You can also buy nice souvenirs, Knick knacks & plants. They have a great nursery up the road also. Its very rare I rate bad about any place, we went there today and counter staff was very rude to us. We place order as It was raining and we were looking for cozy place to sit. This place had a lot of indoor plants which attract us. The girl ( Asian appearance) was so rude we order pizza, and coffee she threw pizza at our table without proper cutlery. Any how we managed to eat and they didn’t served water. I went to ask for coffee and water. She gave me water in a disposable glass for two of us on counter not even full. We were dine in and she gave me coffee in disposable cup on asking she said no cup for me. Clearly the lady behind got a cup and I received rude answer. I was wearing hijab which I think made her discriminate me. I am in Australia from 1.5 year but it was my first experience where I felt discriminated by that lady. Don’t spend your money on this place. The carbonara was STALE and the chips were OLD. Raised the issue with staff at the counter when food was served as it was NOT EDIBLE and asked for a partial refund, which was rudely refused. The short lady with black hair working at the counter dismissed my concerns and said they never had any complaints before. I asked to speak to the manager, but that was also declined. Worth saying that from the start, the same lady took our order and became defensive when was asked to clarify the price of the chips listed on the menu (shown at different prices in different sections). The restaurant itself is cluttered with plants and some tables are very small and very close together. Every other restaurant around is better than here. Avoid this place...
